Rage Gone from WOW

Face it, the game is getting stale, but still great. I feel that the one primary aspect of the game that is making it stale is Blizz trying to make all players equal. Horde and Ally I mean.
They have turned this game and its players into milk toast fools. The rage between factions is what made this game what it is. You were “For the Horde” or “For the Alliance”. One took those shouts to the bank and meant them. Now you can go down to Goldshire where the idiots who play both factions on the same server mess about. Taking away the one element of the game that was its staple, rage for the opposing faction. Now one needs to turn on PVP, god forbid one accidently flags another by mistake and a fight ensues. Thats what the game was all about… And made it what is is today. Unfortunately that is gone. and I feel it hurt the game big time in the long run.

I was wearing my Horde hoodie the other day and a restaurant and myself and the host had a little confrontation because of course I’m for the Horde! For the first time though since Lich King I did a faction change to see what it was like on the Alliance side. Same main since day 1.

There’s enough rage to go around in real life. I don’t need it in my leisure time as well.

Also, this is kinda yikes.

The rivalry was great. You were either Horde or Ally. Thats what drew me to to game back in vanilla, then blizz slowly homogenized the two factions and killed the rivalry

There’s no way Alliance players would dare to confront anyone IRL.

when almost every server is 30/70 ratio or worse there isn’t much interaction between the factions anymore.

Coming from the guy with a toon named after a person who SAed their mother with Alzheimer’s? I am sure if you broadcasted that publicly plenty would react, no faction necessary.

I’ll take things that didn’t happen for 500.

I don’t want to rage - a warrior saying this? blasphemy! - but I definitely appreciate OP’s sentiment.

The factions need more separation and division, and a lot less of this nauseating hand holding that happens between our leaders in seemingly every new expansion.

We don’t have to be at each other’s throats, and I’m not advocating for that, but when every… single… expansion we’re cozied up yet again in this same ol’ dysfunctional faction family circle yank that blizz always puts us in, it just makes things stale.

The faction leaders are practically giving each other shoulder rubs and foot massages while still weakly feigning this illusion of distrust for each other.

Stahppppp it blizz, STAHPPPPPPPPPPP…

I’ve been playing since TBC, more horde than alliance but still both, and I have no idea what OP is talking about. Faction was actually what I liked least, it’s all the other stuff that was worth sticking around for.

I still hate the horde after 8 yrs of being on 25:1 horde dominated server. I wish they would quit making us work together and an all out war next expansion the talk on mal’ganis back in the day would make you realize what the op is talking about.

No way! This hasn’t been a thing for so many years now. It will never be a thing again.

“It matters” Oh hindsight you ole rascally you.

…Also, who the heck does their own tattoos on a bus?.. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
