just curious why some races like earthen feel like they have completely useless racials whereas races like orcs and humans are endlessly bis?
If we compare Earthen to Pandas, earthen get an endless food buff and a useless dps ability that is never used while Pandas can double their stat food and half their fall damage. feels like something’s out of whack here.
Earthen get 10% armor, that is pretty significant for tank specs
Even more so if dwarf racial gets nerfed next season as the developers have alluded they will
Most racials are bad, the rest are mediocre at best.
Dwarf and NE racials have been OP for many expansions. This is not the first time devs have said they’d like racials to be more balanced — but I doubt either stoneform or shadowmeld see changes, yet again.
maybe i’m inexperienced but i feel like 10% armor is not as good when most damage is magical or again, if you consider other races. To fix earthen, i’d probably do this:
Damage Ability: either does 5x more damage than it does currently or is instant.
10% armor changed to 2% Damage Resistance
Food buff: Doubles the effects of gems consumed. Can consume primary stat gems.
There. Earthen are now on par with other races.
Personally I hope stoneform doesn’t get nerfed but Ion did say, in an interview, that they are looking at changing other racials and those changes would be too drastic for a mid-season.
I can’t think of any other racial that would be deemed “too drastic” to change mid-season than stone form.
I do hope I’m wrong though.
Idk raid tanking at all because I don’t raid but I can definitively tell you that physical damage is the most significant source of damage for mythic plus tanks.

Azerite Surge should be worth the GCD and the empower time, otherwise, it’s worthless and a dps loss. Lightforged draenei don’t have this problem with their attack racial.
how bout we just buff all the racials, no more nerfs. I want the Lightforged space laser to do 100k dmg and Tauren to get a 25% stam bonus. 100% haste buff for trolls and Draenei heals 50% of your health. etc etc

I beg your pardon? The only good racial either of them have is that Blizzard uses them to model armor.
They should just let us choose our racials at creation. Let us choose 1 active, 2 passives and a flavor racial and we’re good. I want LFD death laser on my Goblin.
