Just a short appeal to Blizzard to strongly consider changes to racials in Cataclysm which currently heavily favor the Horde for PVE. As it stands, the counterbalance of Alliance having the better PVP racials isn’t stopping the general trend of the playerbase migrating to Horde.
Obviously there is money to be made in faction changes for Blizzard, but I’d wager it comes at a far greater cost to the game if you accelerate the decline of an entire faction for some measly faction transfer revenue. Two of the top Alliance guilds and a major GDKP network just went Horde on Grobbulus, the last balanced server in the game. I would hate to see what happens if you just allow Horde’s advantage to increase come Cata.
Some possible solutions are nerfing Berserking and Blood Fury to more modest increases or having them trigger a trinket ICD
Alternatively, you could build in some comparable DPS increasing feature to existing Alliance racials. For starters, you could buff Expansive Mind to give some added spell crit or mastery to Gnomes. Buff Draenei hit racial to give more passive raid wide stats, give a SP/AP proc to Dwarves, etc - you get the picture.
The top PVE guilds will min max their characters to the fullest, and the middle guilds take their cues from the top – you know this already! The Horde supremacy in the last decade+ of retail should be proof enough of what will happen if you allow this to go unchecked. If you take action on this you can preserve community and relative equality between the factions in this game.

Sounds like Alliance Grob Mob weren’t buying enough gold from the “GDKP Network”, or Shadowmourne bids were too low to continue making a living.

No, it was just constituted by a lot of the players who were in those guilds who faction transferred. But the effects of the GDKP network leaving are felt beyond just those two guilds who went Horde.
Come together as a community and Make Azeroth Great Again.
A major gold selling organization is gone now, you can all rest easy and enjoy the game while they milk the Horde and resell it to them.
Edit: Be the change you want to be. Facilitate a community where an upgrade for one is an upgrade for all.
We can call it a “Raiding Guild”.
Utilize your in depth knowledge of the game along with others to create a small group inside of that group that understands what items benefit each individual player and the group the most as a whole.
Prosper with your community.
Side note: I’ll take the Draeni hit buff and they can have my Arcane Torrent.

You might have to actually make friends now.
My friends use GDKP as the loot system.
its already sorted out, alliance on bene and horde on faerlina, no need for changes

I was doing 5s tonight, and people were saying a lot of guilds are planning on faction transferring over to Horde for next patch.
Personally, I’m pretty happy about that, because I expect it to mean that there will be more people to queue arenas with.
They just need to nerf snapshotting, snapshotting is what made racials way less balanced when it comes to berseking. Sure without it it’s still strong but it’s not as op.
Also I wouldn’t worry, good chance they will put crossfaction in Classic soon anyway as they do not care much about the original vision of the game.
It’s pretty hard to make 99:1 worse.
It took them 10 months to even notice the sewers walljump lol

Any changes cataclysm does will be too little too late for classic, crusade, and wrath.
Remember when people on these forums thought everyone would be alliance because every man for himself is so powerful and horde would be dead? good times, completely clueless ofc but good non the less
