I agree. As a druid I donāt have to worry about it too much because the NE cultre are the set standard for that class. But I to your point about spell effects, I really wish this was looked at. Apparently people have been wanting this for a while. For example NE priests could have silvery spells as it is in the lore and not the yellow gold. I try to keep my ne priests as moon like as possible as she isnāt at 120 yet. That said itās hard because the class gets absorbed into the majority of what the class represents. Even the 2 artifacts were all light based. They could have at least used one of the special apperances to reference Elune.
I was sad that alex at whichever blizzcon it was seemed so against doing more green fire stuff. Obviously creating whole new animations is a lot of work but just changing the color seems like itād be pretty easy. They could even be temporarily auto turned off for rated and/or instanced PVP as i know some players worry about recognizing the spells and such.
Iād settle for updated and fully-functioning cities for each race (Including a rebuilt Exodar + Silvermoon.) Every city has xmog vendors, auction houses, portals etc. Iād love to see a renādorei city and if Thunderbluff had all the stuff that org did Iād set my hearth there.
What could be cool is to make a central expansion hub like Boralus and Zuldazar for all races without capital cities. But that would be a bit long for the last races.
I guess it does not have to be an orderhall like in Legion. If all Alliance and Horde cities (including races that do not have cities) were upgraded, they could release questlines from each class in each city, following the main groups of each race (deathstalker, AVIN, silver hand, 7th legion, korākron, sentinells, sunwalkers, etc.) some classes could be neutral like, shamans, DHs and DKs. I think it would be a good idea for players (in this case, Roleplayers) who want to do the class quests of a different race to match their personal combo, have a reputation level requirement with these people.
The missions would give us something more to do in the city, and would be a new way to take advantage of them with small story sequences involving each culture and could raise more quests in the following expansions so that the player knows how your organization is doing.
All this zone rebuilding would be a lot of work, requiring a gradual expansion of upgrades, just as with heritage armor. The objective would be to reform (and build) only, or mainly the capitals and the zones around them, giving new quests to classes and newly created characters, and new ways to take advantage of the maps that already exist.
It was probably more aimed at the questline then the palette swap, seems like it would have been a lot of dev time to create the questline as well as all the little challenges in the instance.
I hope so, but I remember his reasoning being something along the lines of them working hard to get a spell to read a certain way so they didnt want to mess that up or something. Quest line is cool but unneeded. Iād be just as happy to get them from something simple. Glyph, quest, barber, itās all the same to me. I just want the options.
Oh and speaking of Silvermoon, at what point are we going to get access to the Sunwell? I forgot that it was inside if a raid until I did the Nightborne quest.
I agree. Honestly, the most fun I had in this game was questing as a night elf through Ashenvale and a tauren through Mulgore. Thereās something about the feeling of belonging - your character hasnāt been swept under the rug for the global narrative yet.
SAME!!! Not just Ashenvale but Teldrassil and Feralas too. I spent so much time in those places and it made the game so enjoyable. When I had to go to other areas like the barrens or Stonetallon or even EK I felt a disconnect, especially in Outland. I still hate that place. Although I should probably go back there because Iām sure I missed storylines trying to get through it so fast.
Even as the game progressed I found myself leaning toward elven areas like Crystalsong Forest and Valāsharah, Azuna, Zangermarsh and the that one place in blades edge mountains because of the Cenarion expedition. I would just really like to connect with my characters race lore again like we did in the beginning.
YES. I spent HOURS just perusing through every last building in Boralus, enjoying just how insanely functional of a city it is. I even picked out a place for my character to stay for the duration (nice place right by Unity Square with a little garden next to it, overlooking a fancy outdoor restaurant). I havnt picked out a place for my Main since⦠Ironforge and Booty Bay. Thatās how long its been that a city was so cool I went full RP.
Making the older cities as alive as Boralus would be incredible.
Like, for example, what if they fixed up Ironforge and those windows you see sticking out of the mountain werent just cosmetic, but you could actually go up there? Or Orgrimmar getting a desperately needed overhaul to fix the over-crowding. Silvermoon could build out toward the sea and have an impressive Port.
That be great but like mention before that be a HUGE undertaking⦠SWTOR mmo try something like that but sadly could not maintain and its one of the oldest most request thing of that game⦠that and new content. (Apparently the new content in that mmo takes forever to come out. lol)
I think if they did this it would be good as they had to probably update some of the old starting zones and old āemptyā areas all over Azeroth and give us the player a reason to come there or participate on that part of the world that otherwise is just barely use or have almost no reason to revisit oneās your done leveling up to max.
