Wow Pvp most definitely have a lot of outliers that needs to be balanced, especially when it comes to classes. Still the reality is that most of these balancing changes usually gets thrown out of the window as soon as an expansion releases.
What remains somewhat constant is racials, whether it’s on use or passive. I’m not trying to say that some racials should get nerfed but there are a lot of races that I think are lacking by a lot.
What I’m trying to get to is that Blizzard should look at them as a whole again and change them to better suit pvp/pve.
Questions that I ask…
For example why play a mag’har orc over a normal one.
I’ve never seen someone use a Vulpera yet.
We have trolls and Orcs with a use racial and passive anti cc one but they’re both treated the same.
Why play anything besides a nightelf rogue.
Personally we can all play what we want but it would be nice to not feel like you’re griefing yourself a bit by choosing a race you want to play as.
I don’t feel like racials are actually as big of a deal as most of the player base makes them out to be unless you’re playing in the 1% obviously they make a difference but I don’t feel at least from a PvP perspective they don’t make as great a difference except in min maxing
There are comps where it’s definitely ideal to one over another but if you are just grinding ladder it’s not huge like people make it out to be with like NE Druids being an outlier
Races DO matter, but not until you’re ready to try really hard. If you want to try really hard, you should play meta races. If you don’t really care, play whatever you want.
I play whatever race I like. I’m not good enough for it to matter honestly. Get my mog, maybe the enchant if I really like it but I play whatever race looks great with the current mog. I tend to switch races a lot.
Shadowmelding instant cc like stormbolt might be a high level move.
But any idiot can shadowmeld cyclone or a big chaos bolt go, which is going to be a huge deal at any rating.
