Race/Class/Spec are you going Season of Mastery?

I’m excited to try Soul of Iron with some buddies. Raided all of Classic through Naxx as a Tauren Resto Druid and believe this time I’ll do a Night Elf Druid. Goal is likely just 1-60 Soul of Iron.

Human Warlock and Pally, will be a first on alliance. PvE server. Will raid with whichever toons gets a raid spot first.

Gnome/Mage/Frost

Human paladin, leaning toward protection but might go retribution. Hoping for an RP or RP-PVP server.

I’m thinking Human Warlock, probably DS/Ruin.

Orc Arms/Fury… gonna pvp rank my brains out, with arcanite reaper for backup weapon plan.

Doubt I’ll raid much, but sometimes I dip my toe. Seems more hardcore this time, so I dunno. I’ve never seen past BWL. So maybe alt a Shaman to enjoy whatever world pvp is still left.

WSG/AV with both chars till server is officially dead/raid territory.

Should be lots of fun. Hopefully they do another season next fall too.

Night elf Arcane Priest

(build will depend on if shadowweaving is needed) but main this is spirit to spellpower talent and SWP+starshards

but it will be the most mana effcient caster in game and season of masteyr is showing that this might make this spec shine witht he debuff limit gone allowing for both SWP and starshards

You need to post updates. I can’t wait to hear some fun stuff from this spec.

I was being an emo boy for a bit and thinking of going warrior, but I’ve come to my senses and will be going NE feral druid. Someone has to farm those MCP’s, why not me

i love kitties, but i would never farm MCP.

Human rogue, can’t decide between daggers or swords yet though, it might depend on how many orcs are about.

RP-PvP if it’s available, PVP otherwise.

One of the only classes I have never gotten to max level, looking forward to it!

It’s really not bad. Also, there’s two nice mini games of A) how fast can you get in and out and B) how fast you can kill the manual crowd pummeler. It was kind of fun to go in there if you had extra world buffs and see how quick you could get him

go daggers… humans with swords are a dime a dozen…infact go night elf also!

I think it will have to be human, but I could maybe do the dagger > ambush swap to sword macro.

If horde is as under represented, I might go undead though.

Ya you prolly shouldn’t post your actual name here anyway. gonna get stole

PvP Human (considering dwarf though) Paladin – Repentance healer spec for bgs

Ill be doing a Holy / Prot pally for Soul of Iron preferably normal pve server.

Not sure if i’m going to follow iron man hardcore rules or not.🤷

I was really torn between druid and shaman on classic, ended up choosing druid. Now I think I’ll go shaman, but I was pondering going Nelf Druid, as I never played alliance before and wanted to experience those zones.

I played Troll Enh Shaman back in vanilla. Got the Sulfuron Hammer after a year of grinding MC with the guild. Our guild had blw AQ40 on farm, and got about 4 bosses in Naxx I think before things imploded. Naxx was tough in vanilla. I always wanted to it. I watched Youtubes on enh shamans who were part of Naxx raid MT group. I started twisting back in Vanilla for our MT group, which I came up with myself independently to try to be most effective for the group.

Later I played enh again on Ellysium and some other vanilla servers that popped up over the years. I was able to get a raid slot again, but things always imploded before Naxx.

So my question is, how hard will it be to get a raid slot in SoM as enh shm. Is everything so min/maxed now that it is a completely dead spec? Do people not see any benefit to twisted totems for the mt group, ( enhanced no less ). The game was never rocket science. Our guild had every spec represented ( feral, balance druids, enh , ele shm, shad priests, aff, dest, and demo locks, no arcane wizz, but maybe later on, can’t remember ). We were able to do the content and have fun while doing it. If you have 5 -6 shm in a raid, do you want to roll against all them and the resto druid and healing priests for the good healing gear? Different specs help with gear distribution. Anyways, too much ranting from me.

I think a guild that runs with a nice rounded spec bases instead of a min/maxed base would be a lot of fun and just as viable. Of course you would bring your consumables and such and treat it seriously. I would assume that there were at least a few of those type guilds in classic? Oh and DPS meters are the devil.
