It would be nice if every race/class combination could get a unique mount. We wouldn’t need them all at once. Perhaps they could be slowly released?
I want what Paladins have!
Blizzard actively works to remove uniqueness so its very unlikely to happen.
Shaman used to do a questline to unlock totems, Paladins did a questline to unlock a mount, Hunters had to teach their pet attacks, and even feed them the right type of food.

There are almost 200 combos. You think they would add a unique mount for every single one?
I’m just trying to wrap my mind around things like how you make a bunch of mounts that are each tailored for a specific race and class. Do goblin warriors get a trike with a bunch of axes and clubs glued on? Lightforged hunters get a talbuk with bags of hunting equipment? Humans and Kul Tirans get more horses with varying armors?
Every race does have a race specific mount, and each class has a specific mount from their Legion class hall. Are you asking for an automatic journeyman ride and mount at level ten like Paladins, Druids, and Warlocks?
I realize there are many combinations. Some mounts may just be slight variations of others.

mages get portals, paladins get mounts.

No, each combination would have a unique mount. For example a Nightborne Mage would have a unique mount that only could be used with a Nightborne Mage.
I wouldn’t mind them spending time doing this if it was a dragonriding capable mount, but I don’t see Blizz spending the resources for this kind of cosmetic. It would be interesting to see what they’d come up with though. I prefer the initial felsteed to the dreadsteed on Warlocks, felsteed just looks better to me.
