Yeah, given they both have free will and can have the willpower to worship the light, they should get paladins too. Fair’s fair. It’s not a class restriction that makes sense.
Really, most class restrictions do not make sense.

Thanks you!
Blizzard Devs killed lore back in TBC because they wanted to have more players to play with.
This always makes me laugh because
looks at discipline priests, that use the Light and Void simultaneously
Killed lore, lol. How about made it more nuance or actually clarified it so Alliance players stop feeling they’re special with their ridiculous religions-based headcanons. It was a dumb concept to begin with.
“You have to worship this one specific thing to use this magic” always has been.
What you’re thinking of was a war between the cosmic forces of Light and Void causing Warcraft’s Big Bang. That doesn’t automatically mean Light and Void explode when mixed at any scale. Though I’ll give you the combo doesn’t make thematic sense.
I don’t think they killed the lore , they just adapted it more. They showed that each race have their own culture. The routes are different but the end goal is the same
It was shown in the comic that it happens, I believe.
THAT SAID, however, yes, disc priests use both. So… I guess we don’t know what the limit is, or if some can surpass that, or the entire deal with that. It’s weird. Given disc priests do use both, that makes that comic somewhat odd.’
It’s impossible to teach certain alliance players nuance, as OP demonstrates very clearly.
Bruh I’m against Velf Paladins so we’re on the same side there. But the whole “Will Power” answer just seems like a cop out to let them make Horde Paladins.
Do the Blood Knights believe draining the Naaru made them a Paladin?
Do Sunwalkers who are druids believe praising the sun makes them a Paladin?
Do the Prelates who worship a dinosaur believe doing so makes a Paladin?
If it so easy then why isn’t everyone? Just doesn’t add up to me
But, Priests only call out to the forces of Light and Void, they don’t embody them, which is what a Paladin does according to the books, as well as several in-game references to Paladins. This is why there are no Discipline Paladins.
Did you mean Alleria and Turalyon causing pain to each other when they touch while Alleria is in Void form, or is it a different instance I’m unaware of?
It’s right there in lore, regardless of your personal opinions on what is considered a cop out or not. I think class/race restrictions are incredibly stupid, same with the ‘lol light needs to have faith in this specific entity to use and ONLY THIS RACE can use it’.
My opinion on that will never change. It’s bad writing, flat out.
Also, yeah. The answer to all of your questions would objectively be yes. It’s right there.
Why isn’t everyone? No idea. Why wasn’t everyone mages/rogues priests, but now they can be? Why can’t worgen & goblins be monks? Why can’t Demon Hunters train more for their ranks? Why can’t ANYONE worship the loa or wild gods and make offerings to enable druidic magic?
Class/race restrictions are utterly pointless to me and always will be. Our characters have free will and can walk their own paths.
But that’s the reason void elves cant go to the sunwell.
You sounds just like one of those comercials about faction war.
Show me where the bad alliance touched you…
Think that’s what I meant, yeah. I thought there was an explosion involved, though.
I hate the faction war and think factions should be abolished. Try again. I’m just sick of Alliance players whining and trying to be ‘special’ when they aren’t. Via bad story writing and trying to be mary-sues, as usual.
Also, not appropriate.
With that, another to my ignore list. I don’t have the patience for people I will never respect on these forums and have nothing of value to say along with not knowing lore. At all.
I don’t think they believe they are paladins. They believe they are blood knights, sunwalkers, prelates, etc.
They believe in their own just cause for their own reasons. Each gain their powers from different sources. But it’s that belief and raw willpower for their goal in life that makes it different. The willpower to mend a wound, strike down a foe with the blessed power of an’she.
Willpower goes down to the individual and their belief in whatever it is they believe.
No it’s not. Void elves are banned from the Sunwell because an Ethereal used Alleria’s body as a portal to attack it.
Tell me how draining the battery from sentient chandelier = Faith and willpower and thus allowed Blood Elves to be Paladins.
a void naruu or whatever can’t channel the light same thing for void elves
The answer is right there. The dev said it. You’re arguing against a literal dev quote. I honestly don’t care about blood elf paladins and think their lore is stupid. Among the most stupid of class-allowances. But yes, I guess if you think ‘hey if I drain this type of magic I can become it’ and BOOM you get the magic, there you go.
Then they aren’t Paladins but are definitely Paladins?
