Technically speaking wouldn’t this race come down to who kills the last boss within the least amount of time since they were allowed to start mythic raiding? Like how the EU servers are 8 hours in front, they get an 8 hour lead, but if the US team can get the kill within less time since the raid was open, wouldn’t this mean the US team technically got the kill faster and therefore first?
Would be kind of stupid to claim a first kill because you got an 8 hour head start.
The whole thing is stupid since it isn’t supported by Blizzard anyway.
The whole Esport thing is killing WoW. TBH
Im pretty sure USA is ahead of time isnt it? Reset US is tuesday, EU is thursday.
Is it really an 8 hour head start if bosses are bug fixed and/or tuned to be easier after the first guild spent time progressing on them?
Any part of WoW being a competitive game is “fetch” in this video clip.
Is it called Race to World First or Race to World Fastest Kill
It’s NA that has the initial lead, EU is the one who starts later because their reset is on Wednesday.
But the time difference ultimately doesn’t matter. Limit is usually the one to encounter bugs and on the fly tuning first, while EU afterwards doesn’t have to do that and they get the data of watching what Limit does.
And even then EU Echo reached Sylvanas first, they jumped ahead of Limit a couple times. So the alternate resets have never meant anything in the grand scheme. The only rule is the first to get the kill claims the title. How long it takes to kill it for each side doesn’t matter.
And CLs GM just gave props to Echo saying they were being outplayed.
As the initial start time has traditionally been a non-issue, it would be a shame to see the 1st reset being the decider since things have actually come down to a photo finish at this point.
