Race Change Service

I bought 3x race changes and it seems it is not working. When I click in the token > accept nothing happens.

update: they made a maintance this morning, saying it would fix service issues but it still not working…

Same here.

Hmm I was finally going to buy a pack… Maybe it will lower my ilvl too like upgrading my weapon to 727

they have disabled character services until they can resolve all of the lag and other issues that are recurring on the servers currently. I’m sure their use will be restored tomorrow after the maintenance.

They turned the service off, but they’re still willing to take your money for it.
You don’t hate Blizzard enough.

The items should be marked as not redeemable in the store so that consumers are able to make the decision at the time of purchase.

It’s reasonable to think an item for sale in the shop that is not marked in anyway would be received promptly.

To me, it seems misleading and unethical. Why not simply disable the sale OR mark it as irredeemable? On top of which, the “temporarily disabled” notice gives a consumer no indication as to duration. Seems to me it would be ethical to at least mark the services in the cash shop.

Your own thread wasn’t enough?

It is received promptly. You get the service you paid for. You just can’t use it right now due a temporary issue.

Calm down.

How are you getting the service you paid for if you cannot redeem it?

Why would anyone really be opposed to simply marking the items in the cash shop so that consumers know what they’re getting? That’s pretty standard practice across the retail industry.

It’s early in the work day and they usually are able fix this swiftly. Settle down

There’s no reason to be disrespectful to me. I’ve done nothing to you, nor have I been insulting or rude to anyone.

The forums is an appropriate place to draw attention to this issue, particularly when people like OP are paying money without Blizzard making it clear that they aren’t able to redeem the service.

You are insulting employees of a company. You are the Karen being laughed at by customers as you yell at the barista.

That’s a bit of a leap. I’m pointing out that they should update the cash shop to clearly indicate that they are not redeeming the sold service at this time. I’ve never called anyone a name, like you’re doing.

Since you are offended by this, help me understand why you are so passionate about a corporation selling services to individuals without making it clear to the paying customer that they will be unable to use the purchased item for the foreseeable future? What do you lose by having it labeled?

It’s literally sitting on the top of your login screen. I currently have 4 name changes, 4 race changes and 2 character boosts sitting there.

You’re getting what you paid for. You just don’t seem to understand that.

No offense taken. You are just an entitled joke. To hell with the company. No one cares about starbucks as a company either. You are just waving your yelling for your own sense of self satisfaction. Which i find hilarious

The login screen is not where OP purchased the services. The services should be marked in the game shop. You can purchase via the web without logging into the game. The items should be marked at point of sale.

I do understand that Blizzard has the intent of providing OP with the services at an unclear point of time in the future. That’s not the problem. The problem is that Blizzard did not make that condition clear to OP when they purchased the item. Nothing about the item in the game shop indicates that the service cannot be redeemed at the time of purchase.

This isn’t rocket science. Imagine ordering Door Dash and the food arrives a week later because the restaurant’s stove had broken but they continued to accept orders with the intent of providing the goods in the future. They should be providing notice or not accepting orders.

This has nothing to do with what I said.

Game services are not an immediate use action that you lose. Game services are available to buy and use whenever available. Wait a day or less and you can use yours.

Bugs happen. Stuff needs fixed. There’s no reason to pull items from a sale because you’re incapable of waiting patiently until they can fix a problem.

And the OP isn’t the one ranting in every thread they can upset about it. OP was confused and looking for info. OP got it.

Time to move on.

Comparing food to a video game service token that sits literally forever until you decide to use it was an insanely bad choice of narratives.

Your choice to sit on the services after purchase is vastly different than you not being able to use the services after purchase and only finding that out after they have your money.

Bugs do happen. Things break, and if they can disable the services based on that, they can certainly mark the services in the shop so that people aren’t buying them without being aware of the outage. It’s that simple.

The fact remains that Blizzard is selling something they are not providing at the time of sale and they are allowing people to make that purchase without marking it clearly at the time of sale. I believe this is unethical.

Yes. Correct. They still exist after purchasing. Glad we got that cleared up. So they are NOT selling something you can’t use. Nothing is unethical. You’re being dramatic.

Now go outside. Calm down and use your service later. There’s an alert message on the Bnet app about services. The information is there.

Time to move on. I am.
