Race change question

Hey folks
I’m hoping for some informative and straight up answer to my question, just the facts if anyone has them, this is important to me.

I have an undead warlock that I’m considering changing to an alliance warlock, complicated and long winded story that I won’t get into but for good reason.

I went to the in game service store to see which races I could convert to but it was only showing “Human, Dwarf, Gnome and Worgen” no viable allied races like Void elf, Mechagnome and dark iron.

I have NOT unlocked allied races yet as I have not reached that point in content, would this be the reason why it’s not showing? Obviously I know I can’t because I haven’t unlocked yet. Also, what I really want to do is change from Undead warlock to Void elf Warlock. If I happened to unlock the Void elf, or any viable race on from Horde to Alliance or vice versa for the Allied races, is it possible?

I hope I’m being clear, it sounds better in my head lol.

it feels like you’ve answered your own question

you can’t race change to a race you haven’t unlocked.

unlock the race, and it’ll become an option

Yes, once they’re unlocked them you can race change to them.
It’s just not showing yet because you’ve not unlocked them on your accout.

Ok thanks for that. I was concerned because I wasn’t even sure for certain that Allied races were not an option for race/alliance change at all.
