Race change or roll new

When the warlock customizations come out on 11 July, I’m trying to decide whether or not I want to race change to either a Draenei or a light forged Draenei. Or just roll a brand new warlock as one of those. What are some opinions and what are you guys gonna do?

I’m kinda thinking about race changing myself. Probably to just regular Wagglegoat

I grabbed the race change last week during the sale. I like to keep my old titles and such.

im literally waiting to level up a goatlock.

If we go goatlock are we still draenei or are we just regular Eredar at that point? I mean we’re no longer exiled

depends - if you’re at level cap and heavily geared, i’d race change.

if not, i’d just reroll, leveling only takes 1-2 days at most

Up to Legion, I probably would have purchased a race change. Today, leveling is very quick. So, I would just create a new character.

Rougher question if the character is your main and you need to keep those achievements and recipes.

it could be eredar redeemed by the light, but the fel its hard to forget and the light never truly comes to you anymore, just small gifs now and then, so you gave in into fel inspired by the illidari and gonna put this magic in good use, to truly redeem yourself and proof that you are not lost forever.

and probably abusing the goat’s gravity glitches.

I think you mean Race Change not “raise change”, but as for me I’ll be making a new character for a Draenei Warlock; the Summer Sale but so is - unfortunately - the Winds of Sanctuary experience increase buff.

It’ll also be nice to level and work on a new character as my Evoker is pretty much done for this season and just raid logging every week. I can also take a break from Final Fantasy XVI in doing so, though I think I’m nearly done with it (on to the last known Eikon fight then the “big bad” afterwards!).

I’m race changing 4 of my Warlocks, I might roll some new ones as well but currently that’s my plan because I already have the race changes waiting for the 11th to come. :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

I have some faction changes saved up, when I play again I’ll probably swap my lock to zandalari. Going kimbul and having bleeds proc from affliction dots sounds badass.

I may level a kultiran lock, having a knockback into a coil into a fear is pretty clutch and adds a lot to the warlock kit.

There are gonna be so many goatlocks. I’m just excited to see one of my favourite races be so popular!

If you got cash/blizzard bucks to blow you can race change if you want, but with how quick n easy leveling is, i’d personally recommend just rolling new

Leveling is very fast right now.

Roll new.
It’s cheaper and a lot more fun. Also, if you haven’t played a Warlock before, leveling is a good way to ease in to it.

you have five more days of 1.5x XP plus timewalking for level 60-70. If you do the starter area, set your expansion to warlords, do every optional objective mission in a clockwise sweep of the isles from your garrison zone, reset your expansion to Legion and do the same starting in Azuna you’ll be level 60 before you even hit highmountain. Then do 8-9 timewalking dungeons and there you go. about 10h of work if even that and you saved yourself some money.

This is all about whether or not the $25 is it to you. I know my husband has a warlock that he wants to be a tauren so when they had the last sale he bought a race change for $17. That he planned to wait he use with 10.1.

So if you have a lot of character specific items and titles that you care about obviously a race change would make more sense in your case if you have none of these things then re-rolling is probably your best option unless it’s worth it to you to spend the money and not deal with having to level

Seems pretty simple to me but only you can decide if this is worth it. I have a ton of character specific items and titles so if it were me personally I would hands down pay for the race change without even thinking about it.

But I’m an old God and void lore nerd so I am never leaving void elf. You couldn’t pay me to do it I love everything about them and I love everything about the void

If you roll a new one you gonna lose all the achives that you had on your lock, so if you wanna keep personal toon achieves just change the race
