My character was leveled as a Nightborne Hunter but I’m considering a race-change. I found a LOT of conflicting information on my question and nothing on the offical site: Do you still get to keep and use your original starting pet?
I’m not concerned about getting the race-changed race’s starting pet, but would I, for example, having played my nightborne from 20-120 get to keep and use my starting, non spirit-beast mana saber after paying for a change to a different race?
My instincts are saying yes, but I have never race changed in this case [from allied to another] and can not state ‘for sure’. Hopefully someone who has can tell you.
You keep any pets in your list/stable.

Yes if as a Nightbourne you race change you keep the saber you started with I have race changed Void elves before and they kept the void stalker pet.

Just make sure to put it in the stable for safe keeping before changing.
Shouldnt matter if it’s in the stable or one of your 5 active pets. I swapped my dwarf hunter to a troll hunter with two dog pets active and they were both still there after the change.
I really appreciate all the comments on your experiences as loosing my starter pet was the only thing I was super concerned about.
Can confirm. Lookup Lyre - Garrosh on armory, he still has his Nightborne kitty in his stable. (On mobile otherwise I’d link you)
