I have a level 45 rogue.
If I race change it to Void Elf and level to 50, is that sufficient for the heritage armor flag? Or does the toon need to be leveled from 1?

They removed the requirement to level from 1 a while ago

Ok, but why would you do that?
You are supposed to raise it from level 1 and up, but, this now also includes remix toons, just not boosted by a token toons
I know of nothing changing, but thats cus I am not a snitch, I know nuthin

So if I’m changing my level 80 Demon Hunter to Void Elf for the prepatch…I’ll just be able to do the heritage armor quest on patch day? Leveling them up as that race doesn’t matter anymore?

Correct. I race changed an orc to a Tauren and was able to scoop up their heritage armor immediately.

Oh, I guess I better contribute then 
But yeah, I liked it because they are correct. They did remove basically all restrictions on unocking allied race heritage sets.
