After mulling it over more in my head from my previous post.
- remove paid option
- add it to barbershop
- make it cost dumb amounts of gold equal to a token and a half+
- people spend more money on it because of token cost
- drain the gold swamp?
- ???profit
That is about the only way I could foresee that going.

That never stopped them before.
They didn’t announce anything. It was a joke. They’re not going to put something as extreme as race or faction changes in the barber because those are a far bigger source of revenue than changing your character’s hair color or body type, and a far bigger change to your character’s internal data, hence why they have to be processed after you pay. Given the game’s age, your client and/or account data would probably crap themselves if you could change your character’s race and faction several times in succession.

I haven’t seen anything from blizzard saying it was a joke or meme. Neither have I seen them say it was announcing an upcoming feature or change. We just don’t know at this point and until we clarify we shouldn’t make hard line assumptions.

Looks like the website you linked to might be a malware site.
i’m guessing that the barbershop will only allow changes of race aesthetics, not the actual race you play.
so, say you play a blood elf monk, you can walk into the barbershop and change your appearance to be an undead monk but you still retain all the racials of a blood elf.
thats my guess anyways.
so if u want to officially change your race and get new racials, then you can buy a race change.
otherwise, this appears to just be a permanent version of the atomic recalibrator (which everyone has been asking for).
a few scandals and maybe some cubicle crawling and we might get it as an apology

Firefox’s HSTS setting is known to have issues with X / Twitter, which have been acknowledged by Firefox support at least once.

Some add-ons like “Disconnect” are cited multiple times as having issues; you could try browsing in incognito to rule out addon issues.
