R1 cutoff - how does it work?

So looking at drustvar 2 weeks ago there was more r1 spots for prot warrior available than there are today. The #1 spot is still the same 2400 rating.

Was there a huge banwave reducing the number of prot warriors on the ladder? Isn’t it supposed to be top 0.1% so if there are 500 prot warriors it’s 5 r1 spots?

Also for each alt in a r1 spot it adds an extra r1 spot right?

Drustvar is showing 872 prot warriors in solo shuffle, with 8 rank 1 spots, Caleb/Kennie being an alt should make it 9 (but it still shows 8, despite highlighting the linked alt).

Then there is a prot paladin in 9th?

Is drustvar just cooked or something? Or have I missed some changes in how this works?

That’s just the ladder not updating for almost three weeks now. The cutoff for Protection Warrior is third bnet, or 2284 at Tinq right now.

It was updated 4 days ago.

Do you want the actual answer or not? :dracthyr_a1: Prot cutoff is 2284 right now.

Yes, it clearly states “Updated 4 days ago” at the top. Where did you get 2284 from?

I just…told you. It’s third bnet.

That would mean only 3 spots from 872 players = 0.034% not 0.1%

There’s a minimum of three.

You are very unhelpful today.

I’m literally answering your questions. :dracthyr_shrug: It’s top 0.1% with a minimum of 3 players per spec.

You have given no credible source or information. Just numbers plucked from thin air. Drustvar shows 8 r1 spots (should be 9) and you are saying 3 with no source. If it’s top 0.1% as u just said, then it’s 8 spots, 9 when u add the extra for Caleb’s alt. 872 x 0.1% = 8.72 (rounded down) to 8, add 1 for the alt.

Drustvar is useless because if the season ended right now then I’d get a title along with Todory and Tinq but that’s it.

Why and how do you come to this conclusion, based on what info? 0.1% of 872 is 8 spots. How do you turn 8 into 3?!

Because there’s only 3 slots.

There will only ever be 3 slots.

Alts aren’t slots.

You said MINIMUM 3 spots.

Yeah, and in this context it’ll be a flat three plus alts of the first and second slots.

0.1% of 872 is 0.872 slots, which is less than one. Alts don’t take up space. I cannot speak to there being a minimum of 3 slots, but I can provide the cutoff:

2251 is the current cutoff.

No, it’s 2284. Or would be if the ladder refreshed to reflect the correct cutoff.

https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/news/23923813/dragonflight-1007-content-update-notes-now-live Alts do add slots.

No, they don’t. :dracthyr_hehe_animated: They qualify for a title but it’s still 3 slots.
