Quitting till they have LFR

I don’t understand what people consider a sweatlord or a casual.

People that are competitive and want to be 1st in parses, timings, etc, they don’t give a sh* about how you get your gear, they want to be in the top 1-50 of the world killing Deathwing 25HC. They don’t care about anything else, their rules are simple, they need the best gear they could get to achieve it with the most possibilities. If you give them LFR gear doing LFR, they will do it, if you give them doing heroics, they will do it. If you delete that gear completely, they don’t care, even better. less time they have to waste farming that gear.

My guild (Sineva character), full of people 30+, latinos from all countries, we all work, have children, barely understand eachother with these rough and funny accents. We are very comfortable doing 6/7h, 2-3h 1 day a week. 10man raid. We started doing heroics 2nd week, chill mode, half our team didn’t even read fights. I’m very close to full BiS, we have almost 5 legendary staffs. it’s good. That is a casual guild.

Compare that to a friend of mine (Carra char, from classic). latino guild. 7/7h first week, 97+ parses, 25man raid. have been practicing DS for a month + PTR. And they probably spend less time playing than us (weekly).

The ‘‘casuals’’ you are refering, people that get to 85… do some dungeons, get some gear, mounts, and leave… i would call them tourists, not casuals. lol

lol cmon really? You’re gonna bring story into wow. Wow has the most discombobulated mumbo jumbo story telling in any video game I’ve ever played. 99.9% of people do not play wow for the “immersive storytelling” let alone joining a raid to witness the story. besides it takes one raid to find out what happens, then what?

Yes. Who are you to say what other people can or can’t enjoy?

You can go to retail and do that dungeon and enjoy the story. and much more. it’s all there. all the QOL you want, and much much more.

i remember reading the same thing in 2011-2012. We are in 2025. go to retail and enjoy…it’s there! they listened!

Why should someone have to invest in an entirely different version of the game just to see something they want to experience in the version they actually play? By your logic they really should just delete Classic entirely - the content is all there already in Retail, after all!

How about instead of making excuses for the removal of content, something that takes active effort on the developers part and can potentially lead to unintended consequences due to the spaghetti code that is the entire game, you explain what exactly is lost by just leaving the game intact as it is? Because it’s certainly not about feeling “forced” to do it for the gear anymore

I played LFR in 4.3 (late 2011). Honestly… we haven´t lost anything. The content is there (normal and heroic modes).

It was bad. Like, really bad. Chances you got an item were close to 0. People ninja’ed items like crazy. it was a waste of time tbh.

This time is much better all around.

That story excuse is so 2011. not this time. meh!

People do raids for loot. That is the main purpose raiding.

There are very few cinematics in Cata raids. There is more of a story in doing the quests then in raids.

This, in turn, makes obtaining gear easier for casual players, which is rewarding for them. So why are they upset? Imagine being angry about acquiring gear faster and more easily, with a guarantee, unlike doing LFR where you face all that RNG and competition with others seeking the same gear.

LFR gear drops off the last boss in the TI dungeons. If the gear you want doesn’t drop you’ll be able to buy it from a Vendor.

I didn’t say cinematics, I said story. Sorry you aren’t able to appreciate the storytelling in environments and encounters I guess

Wait, there’s a story mode with boss fights? Sorry, I’m too busy focusing on the fight and mechanics to follow along with a story during a boss fight. This is not retail; there is no real story mode.

Thank you for proving my point

You obviously dont understand that not everyone plays for the same purpose you do. I enjoy running LFRs for run, i dont care if i get gear or not, its a fun experience. When a new raid comes out i have no interest in running normal or heroic. I want the experience that comes with doing the instance and reading the lore/cutscenes.

they’re upset because they cant afk and hide amongst all the bad players in lfr, all whilst doing 10 cpm. They have to actually do the dungeons and risk getting kicked because bad. And judging from the difficulty of the new protocol twilight dungeons there will be a lot of people getting kicked for being bad.

I only remember LFR being a testing ground for ways to wipe the raid esp in MOP.
Focusing down on one fallen protector. Sitting in the tower of Galakras or pulling all the trash at once. It has to be so on rails now because of stuff like that what’s even the point? Watch a video of the fight.

I have no idea what dude is talking about (whatever the name is) I got tired of his ChatGPT and incessant LFR to be removed for [insert a bunch of bullet points from ChatGPT here] nonsense, it got exhausting seeing him put this into almost every thread where he could so I relegated him to the mute boss never to be heard from again (well until one of his alts appear like Beetlejuice).

Just remember he is here to run GDKPs to either make gold from players or to buy gear from GDKPs, nothing more… LFR would disrupt that and take away potential customers.

Well then go watch youtube.

People absolutely do not want to carry poor players. It will be amusing because after the first three to four weeks, when all the raiders no longer need gear or valor from these dungeons, they will become even more despised.

I’m going to remind you yet again it’s important to address the actual points rather than resorting to dismissive remarks. As a player who has been actively engaging in World of Warcraft discussions, I have consistently provided reasoned arguments and evidence to support my stance on various topics, including the impact of LFR on the game.

While you may perceive my comments as repetitive, they are aimed at contributing to the dialogue around important game mechanics and their effects on the player base. Furthermore, my involvement in GDKPs is part of my broader engagement with the game’s economy and community. It’s not solely about making gold or acquiring gear; it’s about participating in the game’s diverse activities and fostering a sense of camaraderie among players.

I am unsure why you are upset that the LFR gear will be available for purchase from a vendor, making it easier and faster to obtain with less RNG. A player such as yourself, who hides behind a level 70 so no one can see their logs, really has no relevance since we are unable to see if you even play Cata.

As soon as you combined our arguments in chatGPT and it spat out that it was “contradictory”, I realized that dismissing your argument on the basis of invalid information and using AI algorithms to spit out incorrect slop, is a completely valid thing to do.

Just pay a guild for a carry, there’s no stigma around using gold to get ahead in this game anymore.

The irony of Ltdan liking and replying in agreement with this post when he pays gold to afk while dead through raids to get his gear might be the funniest thing I’ve seen on these forums in a while.

If someone wants to pay for a carry that’s their prerogative. I’m not going to advocate for it as I believe it goes against the entire point of playing the game in the first place, no different than just watching a video or streamer do it. Rather, I’d say it’s even worse since those two options are free
