Really? This was the first time for me. Not as amusing as the time I was taking a boat from Stormwind to Northrend, game kicked me and I logged back in to find myself in a cavern chatting up a Alterac Valley Battlemaster named Grumbol Grimhammer, but still an interesting note.
I wonder if it is one bug or a series or a compilation.
Me, I wish they would prioritize quest breaking/interfering bugs first. That tournament is one of my favourite things to do in game, it works for me on every level, and it is so disheartening to now forego it because it’s presently such a faulty experience.

To me, its the game director. He has infused too much of what he wants to see, elitist garbage mixed with a superiority complex, and its reflected on his dev team, arrogant. This will be the first time where I probably will quit, ill just watch vids for the cinematics. They are creatively bankrupt. The game is gorgeous but the systems they put into place isn’t working. It didn’t work last expansion and its unbelievably worse this expansion.
That is what I am afraid of. But given it is tied to earning rep for 14 different mounts (and the amount of players I’ve witnessed running around there), I think the traffic is higher than average for older content and hope that will carry the day.
And the bug they fixed was in Pandaria and that content is also pretty old at four expansion back.
It did make it more exciting. When I played it last August I got to the point I could roll thru it, not now!
I am guessing you weren’t here for the years without our current head where people had to line up in front of the banks to be inspected and turned down for raids.
I get it, it’s easy to try to blame one person, but really get a clue. There has been gatekeeping in this game since day one. Players choose who they want to play with it is really that simple.
Why try to demonize Ion over that? I understand if you don’t like the game whatever, but come one, they don’t control the free will of players.
Kaal glitching the gauntlet in SD (which is reproduceable), mobs evade bugging in NW, first boss of SOA just despawning because she doesn’t feel like fighting anymore, the dark praetors in SOA just chilling in the sky if you CC them, the Inspired fungus mage guy in Plaguefall spamcasting Wonder Grow while CCed…
I’ve seen a couple, mainly UI bug with phial of Serenity displaying incorrect quantity. That really zooked me during necrotic week: “oh, I’m at 30+ stacks, no probs, Phials is off CD and I have one more (activates skill, nothing). Curse you, Patrick Steward! You did not make it so!”
F2P has always been the deathknell of a game, at least for many of the ones I’ve been playing. Wildstar, Evolved, Rift, they either shrink to the size of nothing because the only profit they get from maintaining the game is micro transactions galore, or the game is just taken off line. Games that start free to play are littered with predatory monetary walls for most content, and anything cosmetic.
The quality of the game will plummet if it goes F2P, then it really won’t be worth playing.
