My main, a SP, started at 225 ilvl doing +13’s in S2. At 235ilvl, I can’t even get into 13’s now several weeks later.
Bad luck with the vault, and not being a heroic raider, means I’ve fallen behind the gear curve enough for the game to be unplayable as a pug dps.
There’s something seriously wrong with the M+ system and its VAULT means all approach that leaves a player’s actual game play path regressing despite significant increases in actual player power.
Run your own key? Have a core group you run with? Learn to be better at pugging? I have zero issues pugging.
You have a few solutions. You could heal on your priest instead of DPS for better chance at invites. You could lead a group and try to push your own key. You could join a guild that does keys together.
The pug dps life is brutal and cutthroat.

If you insist on pugging content intended for organized groups, can’t be surprised that it doesn’t always go well. Build that friend list, join some communities or discords.
Celebrate you’re gonna kill someone if they try to read all that!
It’s not your iLvl. It’s your M+ score.
There’s also 30-40+ people that apply to your keys: most of them being dps.
So the only solution if you’re a dps player without high io score is to 1) heal or 2) tank or 3) run your own key.

Yes I pugged my way up to 2k, so obviously I still got invites here and there.
The thing to consider as dps is, if the group only needs 1 more dps, they are probably looking for a specific covenant, lust, or battle Rez.
People are starting to hit 240+ now as well so given the option between a 235 spriest and 240 spriest with similar .io who would you pick?
Yeah, already seeing groups setting 240 iLvl for +15s when we were clapping them at 226.
The bar keeps moving up each week.
If this is the character you are talking about. Work on getting those lower dungeons up. IE you have only a 7 on DoS.
Depending on the dungeon, I may not invite you either and your score is slightly higher than mine.
Your social life will thank you later.
You don’t need luck with vault early in the season. Every week is basically an upgrade.
I don’t raid either and I am 240 ilvl and have 6/8 +18 timed this week. Stop acting like gear is holding you back, it’s not. If you can’t get into groups and you were geared from the start of season 2, that’s a personal issue. You can either make your own groups or make friends?
Either way, the vault and not raiding is not your issue.

I’ve been sitting on the SD +13 and people avoid the queue like the plague.
I have mulitple timed 13’s, 14’s + KSM S1, 230 ilvl … no one even queues.
Plenty of people will need SD for IO, so it’ll fill up eventually.
True…but this season you have quite a few “dead” slots (i.e. slots you want a legendary + domination sockets on).
It’s far from unplayable as a pug dps. You just need to remember that every key posted has a ton of dps applying and only 3 slots. Patience is a virtue. You can run your own key or like others have said join a guild.
