Quitters are just advertising FF14

Very true statement. I have multiple max level toons/job in both WoW and FFXIV, while I do enjoy it, severely lacks any real competitive end game.

Please explain how the amount of dungeon/raid release correlates to how international players are treated compared to Japanese players.

Though given last time you claimed international players were considered second class and never provided proof of that claim, I’m just going to assume that this too is erroneous and spurred on more for your blind hatred of WoW’s competitor.

Keep telling yourself this when ff14 continues to market its game towards JP casuls with almost nil competitive end game.

I dont need to proof English players are 2nd class when Ff14 didnt even did a global launch unlike say Genshin impact lmao. I rest my case =).

Dont be surprised when SE shuts off the NA servers when they feel its not profitable enough, cant say the same for the Asian servers here.

So? It’s a superior game.

So basically you’re just admitting you have no proof and you’re hiding it behind your words.
Ok, mister baseless hate.

They’ve recently sort of cut the fat from some of the vanilla story to make it more streamlined, but yeah I agree it definitely acts as a barrier for new players. Especially if you’re coming from another MMO, the early game can feel like a slow process because a lot of what they’re trying to teach you feels pretty intuitive already. This is because outside of FF11, which played really differently to 14 in a lot of ways, this was one of-if not the first-JP MMO of it’s kind. A lot of that early hand holding is meant for an audience who have never engaged with these types of systems before.

To your other point-I am absolutely an altoholic and getting used to the all classes on one character thing was a bit tough for me. I do like the idea of having my specifically elf rogue, or my specifically human hunter, or what have you. It does become a sort of goal of getting all classes or jobs leveled up on one character, and while the story is fantastic imo, the fact that you don’t have to do it over and over for each class you want is a good call on the devs part.

The good news is, the old world and in a lot of ways old content never becomes too outdated. When you’re leveling a new job it’s going to take you back there to do side quests, or fates, or crafting and gathering.

There’s also the palace of the dead which is a rogue like where you level in a bit of a microcosm so you gain levels and in turn abilities very quickly. While it can get repetitive when you’ve done it for the umpteenth time, it’s a great way to level and stave of some of those three button blues.

Blizzcon should be interesting to see if Blizz has the guts to announce TBC or maybe they will abandon it incase they see retail number continually falling off because a lot of us have switched to classic. Its still very busy in classic.

the only thing bad with classic currently is the number of Bots farming resources and gold because the player base is used to buying “Tokens” or in classics case illegal gold sites just so that they can purchase gear through GDKP runs and boosters leveling in dungeons

Pertaining to the title of this thread. I think that’s exactly what they’re doing.

Wanna explain how it’s garbage? It has more content, you can go back to old content and still get a challenge out of it while getting mounts and glamour, better gameplay, smoother and more challenging raids and trails. The list goes on and on. The only thing wow has over it is a better pvp system and that’s it.

What makes this even more special is, some of the devs worked extra hours and made it a pet project on their on volition.

There is literally nothing to do…except a wide variety of content.

It’s just not content you’re into. It doesn’t mean the game is against you.

The loot nerfs weren’t anti casual, they were anti player. Everyone suffered from that nonsense, but luckily they are starting to walk it back.

That was a step they should have never put their foot on, IMO.

they wouldn’t be if ff14 weren’t superior in nearly every way.

in other news, there is no delay when applying dots anymore, so a summoner can go straight to using fester without needing to waste about half a gcd before using it. an excellent change. give it time and it will fix even more things while wow breaks more and more.

I have done the content.
Most of my guild left to go back to FF. One of them offered to buy it for me for extra incentive to try it. The comments in this thread are leaning me towards it.

You’re making FF sound more and more attractive.

FF14 is a great game if someone is looking for an MMO that’s designed the way WoW was during TBC-MoP before the “refresh” in Legion that turned WoW into a Diablo/WoW Frankenstein MMO.

Using factually and better in the same sentence lol

Final fantasy is the superior MMO by far.

But I still like warcraft more.

If they remastered Anarchy online, I’d play that over both of them.

Both games are great. What’s wrong with playing both.
