Quiting the game

I feel you.

I realized that if i wanted to play multiple games or do multiple things with my spare time then $10-$15 was too expensive to just let a game sit there being unused

Wish they would change to a payment method like with what eso has. With eso I’m able to switch games without that nagging feeling telling me that if I don’t play this then I’m letting my money drain away slowly.

I’m sure the subscription method is a turn off for a lot of people as well, so changing it could get them bigger sales numbers.

You haven’t been very nice the entire thread. Nothing wrong with posting why he is quitting. There are people that enjoy reading threads like this especially from someone that has accomplished so much in the game

So you are 9/10 H tank and you are leaving your guild days before they expect to down Sire? nice

Also your ‘‘perfect wow scenario’’ of having no job but having money is probably actually the worst. It means you are burning out faster than other people and have little to focus your energy on besides a game. Now I understand your constant whining in forums in the last month, thats where you are spending that extra energy you have. You are complaining about burning yourself out and think that buying a macbook is going to solve it?

That’s what they ask you to do when you quit. They encourage discussions about your departure.

Also, could be the OP would like to return to the game one day after they cool down, and are hoping that some of the issues are addressed in the future.

¯\__(ツ)_/¯

There are those kind. Then the ones where Blizzard tells you to comment on forums then there are those that look for something to make them rethink their decision.

Lots of addicted folks in this game.

Game feels awful
community is worse
recipe for failure

As others have said. Blizzard does ask you to post on the forum why you are leaving what changes do you feel need to be made to the game. This has been a known thing for so many years and some of you think it’s a joke.

I sure don’t see it funny. because that is one less person for raids dungeons PvP
and someone with experance. The fact many on these threads make fun of the orginal poster comments takes away from valid points and things that should be fixed.

This is the real gameplay loop of warcraft: The game is too difficult such that 1% to 5% of players no life the game and actually make some progress. These players then sell runs (raid/m+) or wins (PVP) to average players who buy tokens off the AH. Blizzard is making a ton of money off these token sales. This is by design.

Then there is so much greed in this game $32 for a race change? There is no technology required for this. It is literally switching a single value in the code, for example race = “orc”, to race = “undead”. This is not a 32 dollar job. It is less than 10 lines of code to “automate” the process.

This game is oppressively difficult, such that, at 221 ilvl I am having to kite in 14/15s especially on weeks with bad affixes. These dungeons reward 207/210 gear. If I was doing these dungeons at 207/210 ilvl, and the rest of the group was at the same. These dungeons would be nearly impossible on some weeks. (I did start 14s around 207 ilvl, but again I no-lifed the game).

15s should drop gear, that will allow me to make 15s easy. Also, the fact that raids drop 233 BiS gear for M+, but drops it so rarely that only some people will ever have access to it is really bad design. This means that your position on the M+ ladder is largely dependent on your access to raid loot, and luck. Bad design.

I have bought a new macbook air, and I am playing through some of the many games I bought but never even played yet.

I don’t think I would ever come back to warcraft after this experience but this is what it would take:

The game must reward equal ilvl loot from all three endgames (raid, m+, pvp). The most power M+ gear must drop from M+, the most powerful raid gear must drop from raid, and the most powerful PvP gear must drop from pvp. The gear must drop often enough that you are not forced to do other end game content.

DELETE DAILIES, stick to weeklies. Make weeklies flexible, like, you can do world quests, pvp, raids or you can do M+ but either way you get the same weekly rewards.

Have generous catch up mechanics, sort of like how conquest is rn for PVP, but for everything in the game, so that I can take a week or two off from the game, if it is grinding my patience down, so that I don’t feel forever behind.

The gameplay should be the reason I feel compelled to log in, not doing (dreadful) dailies for sockets, or torghast for my legendary.

To be honest, my favorite part of this game is M+, and the dungeon design this time is really bad. The theme of most of the dungeons feels too similar, and the themes aren’t great, it looks like a game made for china, not warcraft. Like the angel designs look like an asian mobile game. The dungeons are just so “grey” I don’t know, but they don’t inspire hours of play. I can’t say I like any of them. They all feel like King’s Rest from BFA, in how they punish you. Everyone hated KR, now we have eight kings rests.

You are already behind, you said you are 9/10H, but the raid has already been cleared on mythic.

I have several issues with this, you could always find multiple hobbies, thus not to drown yourself in one thing for so long that it becomes the very thing you hate. Enjoy everything in moderation friend. Two try Classic then, bruh I’ve been leveling a mage to 60 for over half a year now. I’m 58 now and have enjoyed every single moment of taking my time, spacing out watching TV and not “making the game my life”. In terms of retail, honestly I lost interest after Cataclysm ruined the game. Pandaria only brought validity to my opinion. Retail has no passion anymore.

The loot system is reasonable ? It’s my biggest gripe. And the reason i may leave . I don’t have a lot of time to play , but I do 5-6 mythic + a week since 2nd week after launch and still haven’t seen one weapon drop . I happen to get lucky on my dk when someone traded me a weapon. But my priest has not even seen one . I can’t porgress my toon like I did in BFA .

I agree with an OP.
Low ilevel loot in Mythic +
No Loot from raids
Dailies , Weeklies endless anima grind.
Have to play every week to be competetive.
This game is like a second job.

His guild has cleared 10/10 mythic Castle Nathria?

Actually they ask for feedback to them, not in a forum post for the world to see.

His guild is about to be 10/10H and OP will be behind his guild due to not logging on for the raid. But they are worried about this?

y u guys report my selfie

20k is literal change. and judging by this

It’s obvious this game isn’t for you.
