I agree - Very much a “Goodbye cruel world” type of exit. It’s a completely transitory, and fickle community; just leave.
Hello fellow chubby
Services do cost too much… especially if you start talking multiple toons.
I think OP tried too hard and burned out. There’s no winning in WoW, you’ll just get frustrated at the various grinds to stay ahead.
I’d put the game down for a month or two. I work and take classes so I’m doing a lot when I’m on but then I’ll be gone for three days.
That’s rude. Is that why you post things? Don’t you suppose it is more likely that they just want to share thoughts with others like anyone else here?
perhaps you could use your masses of gold to pay for it, instead of real world money?
Getting kind of tired of all of Blizzard’s nonsense myself. Grinded up an alt death knight to put into the Necrolords for the slime cat pet (forum won’t let me type it’s name for some reason), grinded up renown, did all the covenant storylines, farmed the 30 offerings and anima needed and finally was able to buy it this week when it unlocked. Just to find out it can ONLY be used by characters in the Necrolord covenant. What a hair brained decision made by Blizzard. So frustrated to not even be able to use the pet on my main.
I have not played in a couple of weeks, but I think I am quitting as well. Love raiding and collecting movs, pets, toys, and mounts, but the game is difficult to enjoy when all you do is the same quests ad nauseum.
If other people enjoy WoW still, GREAT! Not a problem because it is not my business. I just rather play piano and create things. Quitting is hard because it has been in my life for literally half of it, but that should tell us something…
Good on you for noticing what works. People are dumb for thinking SHARING A THOUGHT is looking for attention.
And now your end is near
So you face the final curtain
My friend, I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case of which I’m certain
You’ve lived a fantasy life that’s full
You’ve traveled each and every xpac
And more, much more than this
You did it your way
Let me start this off by saying I get it. I usually sound like OP. That said, I really think Blizzard struck a good balance this time. I’ve had my maw socket for weeks now and the dailies only took 20 minutes a day. A calling takes maybe 30 minutes. This game has always been time consuming but you don’t need to invest into every faucet as much as previous xpacs.
I’m also 9/10H. M+ doesn’t feel rewarding, so I don’t spend hours upon hours doing it. Simple as that. Whats consuming my time is playing alts and farming rares but I can’t complain because it’s an alt friendly expansion with a boat load of cosmetics.
Unpopular opinion but Blizzard nailed it.
Activision/Blizzard ask you to post on the forums as your leaving. Supposedly it’s to let the developers see feedback, personally I think they ask you to do it so the forum can take pot shots at a leaving customer.
That’s to ensure they don’t come back
People have been incredibly rude to the OP. He owes none of you anything, no proof of a main or anything at all.
People post goodbye posts out of some desperate hope that it might make a difference and improve the game somehow. Nothing more.
This… I love the game to the core… i just can’t with these last 2 expacs.
The game is awful and not fun but it’s funny watching how many of the Blizzard simps act like they don’t care but they know deep down the subscriber base is dwindling.
Pretty soon they can all suck each other in Azeroth.
Blizz tells you to do so. How is this an unknown fact still after 16 years of this game being live?
I don’t know why people are so mad about this kind of topic. It’s free feedback about why people are leaving.
Honestly, I feel sad every time I’m seeing someone leaving the game it means the world is getting empty, WoW is an old game with no appealing to new players.
If you like the game you should care about it.
It sounds like you’re just trying too hard to min/max everything. People complain when there isn’t enough to do, people complain when there is too much to do. I’d rather have too much to do, and choose which of those things I actually want to do.
And this is just incorrect. There were costs with even making it possible, there were costs to automate the process. There’s likely still costs with maintaining and updating the process when the game changes, then costs with testing those changes to make sure everything still works. There’s server resources being used to process the request. There’s people monitoring those servers’ health.
Is the markup pretty high on the day to day costs? Probably, but I don’t think it’s a big deal on something completely optional. If you feel you have to race change in order to PvP on your priest, then again you’re trying too hard to min/max everything.
I’m sorry to hear that the bad thing that happened to you, happened.
The bad thing that happened is awful and should be remedied. I’m on your side.
Now that we’re friends give me your gold Maybe?
If you read a little further, you’d see that we were getting along fine - of course, if all you want to do is find fault with other posters on this forum, it begs the question who is the toxic one?
