I’m trying to collect the raid finder tier for DK also normal but I noticed you can’t need on gear if you have higher (understandable) but the next issue I have is we don’t have enough catalyst charges to convert?. Is there a vendor where you can buy appearances for TWW? Or do we have to wait until next patch for a vendor? Would appreciate info!
I wanna say you can buy old PvP gear and convert it, given it’s the season that matches with the set you’re trying to get.
There’s another way too, but I forget- a PvE way you can obtain old pieces and convert them.
Can get it s3 easier cuz you’ll have infinite charges then

No, there is no vendor for current season pve gear. Your “easiest” option to get LFR/Normal appearances is to farm it on an alt through the Bloody Tokens. Go into warmode and do the weekly sparks quest (dig up dirt piles in the relevant zone) and do WQs. You can buy 632 ilvl gear which catalyzes into LFR appearances. In a couple months, the alt will have enough catalyst charges to make the full set.
Of course, if you don’t like leveling alts, or simply don’t have the time, you’re probably out of luck until next season. So stock up on whatever catchup gear they offer in 11.1.7 since it will invariably convert to LFR appearances as well, and just convert it after the catalyst for this season goes infinite.
Roll a second character that does veteran quality content. This season, I had 2 extra paladins who quickly completed the LFR/N tier mogs.
You can get LFR tier pieces from the Great Vault so long as you don’t complete any higher raid tiers that week. It’s a pretty crappy way to get the mogs, though.
You get a new catalyst charge every 2 weeks, and catalyzing this season’s gear will become free next season (which is still a while away to be fair).
Easiest way to get lfr/normal ilvl gear for catalyst is the delve vendor in Dornogal (Sir Finley Mrrgglton), they sell all warbound pieces for undercoins at 623 ilvl. Catalyst first then upgrade to 636 and you’ll get the lfr and normal appearance for each piece.
Having alts still helps for current tier transmog for the extra catalyst charges.
I also went after the DK set but between two DKs and three other platies I just got the lfr/normal sets done last week.
