When ganked by Alliance players which race do you most often find to be the culprit? How about class?
I’ve seen this question answered a few times over the years but only from an Alliance perspective. Unsurprisingly, whenever we’re ganked by Horde there’s a 90% chance that the assailant was Undead. The remaining 9.99% of ganks are carried out between Orcs and Tauren (though I must say I find the Tauren playerbase to be infinitely more aggressive this second go-round of classic). Our best chance at a peaceful co-existence with Horde in the open world lies with the Troll race.

The name of the game is World of Warcraft. We make war here…

gnomes
i walked up to a bunch of 50s gnomes to say hello and they banished my voidman and killed me last night. needless to say I’ll now be executing the previously recommended “red=dead” stratagem

Gnomes of any class are certainly the biggest culprit. I donno, maybe shortmans syndrome?
Otherwise it’s a human pally that is almost never able to kill you because lolret is a worthless class–which is probably why they have such a big chip on their shoulder as well as knowing when they inevitably start getting stomped they can bubble hearth out.

I can usually peacefully walk by any Alliance race other than a gnome. Anyone else I can wave and they’ll sometimes wave back as we cross paths towards our destinations, but a gnome will always try to murder me.

Gnome Mages or Gnome Warriors most typically attack me when I’m out farming.
I’m pretty sure most of my KOS targets are gnomes too.
I’d imagine the reason is obvious, gnomes arguably have the best alliance pvp racial in Escape Artist? So if you’re pvping alliance side, you really want that.

It’s a chicken and egg scenario. Gnomes are often targeted for ganks. So we return the favor in kind to establish our dominance.
Which came first? Who knows. But my money is on Undead for starting it.

I’ve never kept track. I also don’t focus a lot of time on frustration if I get ganked.
On Herod, the ally are particularly violent, so I can’t say any one race is nicer than the other.
I’m not sure which is the most likely, but I am very confident when I say least likey to be ganking is dwarf.
Gnome mage and human rogue
Almost everyone on my “kill on sight” list is a gnome. I think them and Undead are certainly the worst culprits.
Very surprised by the results. For whatever reason, I thought Human would be the most popular answer. Thanks to Horde players for responding!
I think humans are probably the least aggressive that I see, although I think most of the humans I see are paladins, and they literally never attack me (in fact they’re the most likely ones to wave back!)
This isn’t World of Friendcraft.
I want to say Dorfs, but that is almost certainly Conformation Bias, only remembering being ganked by Stoneform.
Edit: That is for “successful” ganks, upon reflection the most eager and least successful gankers are Male Humans.
/wave to a gnome mage. immediately dismounts and polymorphs. starts casting frostbolt. like come on wtf.

In my experience, it’s less of a race thing and more of a class thing.
Frost mages are the only players that seem to consistently want to attack me, because they think warriors are a free kill. But most of them do seem to be gnomes. To be fair though, I attack any alliance I see on sight unless I’m badly outnumbered. Almost guaranteed loss if you let a mage get the opener too so I do my best to get the opening charge off if I can.
Gnome rogues are probably a little more aggressive as well. Gnome is probably the tryhard PvP race for any class that can roll them. Dwarf paladins and priests are probably up there on the list too. Everyone’s just copying APES at this point it seems like.
Most ganked by level 60 gnome mage. Never ganked by low level ally I had 2 level 46-47 ally run from me when I tried to engage at level 39 they are cowardly.
Dwarf hunters for some reason…maybe that’s just me?
