Quick Public Poll

If I could ask a simple question related to what I think I’ve noticed since coming back after a six month hiatus…

The Question: Is your guild or circle of friends lying in wait for Classic? Is that the only reason half the people still casually play? Or is it because people are on leave until 8.2 releases?

I myself know what’s on the other side of that Classic Launch Date. Been there, done that, will probably do it again for a time. Thing is, segregated communities always put games on edge and I feel as if a consolidation might be necessary to promote community in the Live version.

Outside of prime time, the Pre-Made group finder has been desolate. Recruitment for my Guild serves as fish finding in an empty pond. The general skill level of these public groups seems to be on the decline, complacency seems to be on the rise.

What do you all think about the current situation and why is it necessary for people to keep playing if all they do are loot pinatas once or twice a week?

My friend and I have no real desire to play Classic. We leveled (numerous) characters during Vanilla and feel a bit queasy about losing all the Quality of Life improvements that WoW has spackled on over the last 15 years.

I MAY create a character on a Classic server, just for nostalgia, but it won’t be my main focus. I’m twiddling my thumbs, waiting for 8.2 and beyond.

To answer your question, no they are not. Some might dabble in it, and so. E from my guild may go heavy j to it. It is a huge guild.

I will goof off with it, but it will never be serious for me. Been there done that kind of thing.

I’m actually doing the minimum in retail while waiting for Classic. This includes a 10 key, maybe a H BOD clear and a gold or resource emissary here or there per week.

BFA no longer grips my attention. Maybe 8.2 will shake things up a bit.

Not really. Few seem to care.

i may make a toon on classic but it won’t be my main focus. none of my friends give a care about classic either.

Same here man did all that stuff years ago its a pass for me for classic

No one I know currently plays WoW because real life.

So, you can pretty much guess that Classic would be even worse, thanks to the scarce game time they have.

i’m sure some people will enjoy the nostalgia trip but the game is a million times better now than it used to be. retail is where i’ll be spending all my time

Actually it’s retail that demands more time and attention. Classic is the game which you can play at your own pace. BFA requires you to always keep up, with every patch and raid.

No doubt man i swear its like they aren’t even subbed or something.

some of them admit to not being subbed until they needed to be for classic beta. 0.o

Oh that explains it pro Classic only players it seems,I hate how there are some of them that are trying to get there old outdated stuff into retail WoW BFA its cringy.

hopefully classic will give them what they want. personally i wouldn’t want to pay for a game every month that i know will never be updated and will be stuck in the past forever. it it makes them happy though that’s great for them.

True to each there own.

I would say its about 60/40 in my guild with the slight majority anticipating classic’s release. I am part of the minority; the negatives of classic made a more lasting impression on me than the good did.

To you perhaps.

Most of my friends who used to play in Legion where having lots of fun leveling several characters and doing pet battles. Only about 2 or 3 of them were actually invested in raids or pushing their IO score.
