Quick! hide the tears of elune! no i don't care where!

It was bad enough that after what I went through (what we all went through) to get these five pillars of creation that the BONEHEADS IN CHARGE just left all of these artifacts lying around in an empty tomb… THANKS DADGAR!

It’s bad enough to happen once. Some are speculating about the other pillars – can Blizzard weave into that story, if they need to do that, that we AT LEAST TRIED to protect the other four? PLEASE?!

I just don’t want to feel like my character is making decisions so boneheaded as to be downright moronic.

Completely agree. They should be locked away some place safe like your class hall or something.

Heh, the whole Tidestone in Nazjatar was silly. Azshara uses it to give us homeground advantage in her own backyard? Why not keep us underwater and try to drown us and not put her own minions in a turf disadvantage?

the bad guys always act like that. like why not wait till you turn the pantheon then start the invasion of azeroth in legion no way we could fight that.

It’s more about the powerplay on her part… saying “you have ignored me for the last time! opens a giant hole in the ocean come and take your precious tide stone back if you dare.” All while lording the fact that she can let the ocean rush back in at any moment over us.

She is obsessed with power, and having everyone know she has power over them. So this is all just a powerplay game to her, and we are just pawns that she can drown whenever she wants.

As a prot warrior I can confidently say the safest place on Azeroth for the Aegis of Aggramar is in my equipment slot, Gimme Gimme Gimme

Also SPOILERS HERE FOR NAZJATAR:

She WANTED us to get lured to her. She needed our Hearts of Azeroth to dismantle the chains that bound N’Zoth. So killing us outright probably didn’t help that scheme

Okay, that’s true. It’s still kinda stupid.

I’m still carrying the tear around in my bag with me, feel like that’s the safest spot for it and I’d feel bad deleting it.

I mean at the end of the day it’s a video game. Its a made up fantasy world, you kinda gotta have some suspension of disbelief.

Lord of the Rings isn’t as fun when you just say “why didn’t they just ride the eagles to Mt Doom?”

Try and have fun

That’s why I said, okay, one of them. Sure. Not two. Not again! At least write in some ATTEMPT at us having tried to protect them after losing one to such ill effect! It’s fine to suspend disbelief, but not in instances where it’s so bloody easy to give us an explanation that doesn’t require me to “head cannon” stuff. If you suspend enough disbelief, or have to, it starts to ruin the game because you’re constantly bounced back into reality by unforced errors.

The eagles couldn’t be convinced to fly from Hobbiton to Mt. Doom. That was my head cannon for that.

I never did get around to getting all five of them, I’m pretty sure it’s still in my bags…

Yes it would have. Open the hole, crash the fleet, close it and drown like half the major faces on both sides, then pick the HoA off the bodies. BFA over.

Sauron would have shot them down and had the ring. The eagles didn’t want to be delivery service for the enemy.

Not all of us would drown…
