The survival guide for Tides of Vengeance has 2.9k likes and 6.5k likes as we speak.
The survival guide for 6.1 has 4.8k likes and 3.4k dislikes.
Just putting that out there.

I don’t even want new content. Just dedicate an entire update to fixing old stuff.
Yes, BFA is lacking in content, but everything (BFA included) is broken right now. The turtle matching game in Drustvar is broken. Half the garrison functions are broken. Various rare encounters are broken in Draenor and Pandaria. The Karazhan questline in BC is broken. That rabbit quest in Lich King is broken. Stop wasting my time with some new island expeditions and FIX SOME STUFF.
Agreed. I’d rather have them fix old things than add new stuff that nobody’s gonna even do ;/
Because youtube likes and dislikes are so valuable
I mean it’s better than what Blizz is giving us, which is nothing. I mean we used to have sub numbers but…
I’d rather just play the game instead of worry about numbers. Play and then stop when I’m out of fun new things to do. Easy
Haha, I was waiting for someone to say this.
Whether you’d like to believe it or not, it does provide a pretty accurate representation of what the community thinks. In theory, you could amplify the ratio of likes:dislikes to the size of the WoW community, and it could stay as sort of the same ratio (with some relatively small change, of course). The ratio has been about the same up until now.
If a video has more dislikes than likes, odds are the rest of the community that hasn’t seen this video will be more likely to share the opinion with those who disliked.
Also, there’s so many reasons for this to be disliked. All we’re getting for the first major content patch are 2 more Island Expeditions that provides no more incentive or systems to make them fun other than a cosmetic vendor and a drilling machine, an Arathi re-skin that we get to go to very 3 1/2 weeks for some free Heroic gear that we didn’t work for, re-skinned world quests and a gated questline.
7.1, on the other hand, had a new dungeon, a new raid 2 weeks after its release, and it had much larger things that BfA just down scaled on and copied into 8.1. There’s nothing engaging or exciting that sets this patch, 23 weeks after the release of 8.0, apart from 7.1, which was released 8 weeks after 7.0.
The facts are there.
This is what happens to a company that spends more time imposing draconian chat filters and “harassment” bans than time actually fixing content and listening to players. But what do you expect from a team that is creatively bankrupt and solely focused on profit models?
I down voted it because I disliked the video, especially the screaming narrator not because I dislike 8.1.
Quick fact, this thread will likely be considered advertising and be deleted.
Yeah I’m sure all those people posting memes about diablo in the comments totally actually play WoW
You’re one person. People most likely disliked the video because of the content… or lack of content in 8.1.
Also, how is this advertising? It’s WoW’s YouTube channel lol
was 6.1 the selfie patch ?
Just like the last one that was deleted that had pretty much the same info and links?
You have no idea why people downvoted the video except for those that made comments and many of them seem to still be mad about the diablo announcement.
I love how you chose to omit the facts that I put out in the rest of my post, but hey, to each their own.
I have yet to see any comments about Diablo memes that are at the top, though. Mostly people asking how it’s supposed to bring them back. If this doesn’t show how the community feels, I don’t know what does.
We’re allowed to hate the direction the game is going in without hating the game itself, and if there’s a huge group of players concerned with this direction, it shouldn’t be overlooked.
I’d rather not quote the entire thing. Doesn’t mean I didn’t read it. Just drives me bonkers to have blocks of text everywhere
What facts? I read your opinions and I disagree with them.
These facts:
That’s their response all the time though. “Oh you can’t trust those ratings, they’re just youtube ratings, Metacritic ratings, reddit ratings blah blah blah” We literally have nothing else to go by on how well the game is going other than those ratings and what we’re seeing in game, and what I’m seeing in game is a lot of people in the guild not showing up or bothering to log in within the last month or so.
Same here. I had to disband my guild recently because we just kept losing more and more people, and we ended up not finishing Uldir progression because of the state this game is in right now. It truly is sad.
I only care about what I want. I want to have fun. I have fun playing WoW. That is enough for me. As for content pacing, I really don’t mind waiting. It’s better than having to wait to be on a list for medical assistance. Now THAT was a long wait. This is nothing compared to that.
