Quick Draw math?

Opportunity gives you a Half Cost 50% increased damage pistol shot.

Let’s say base damage is 100.

That’s 150 damage.

The Quick Draw talent says that “Half-cost” Pistol Shot deals 50% increased damage.

Is that 100 + (100%) or 100 + (50) * 1.5 ?
200% Damage vs 225?

Fairly certain it’s multiplicative.

Logging in now to test.

60 second test. Only sinister strike and pistol shots. 16 procs with weapon master. Average damage ~1500.

If multiplicative, I expect it to be ~2250 average with fewer procs.

Instead, I have 11 procs at 1850 average damage with Quick Draw.

Seems like the math isn’t quite as advertised.

It seems like mos things in the math with this game aren’t quite as advertised lol.

Thanks for the math! I’ll try and do some of my own later as well and compare.

Base bonus shot is double damage, so if base damage is 750, 750*2.5 is 1875. The damage is additive. Look at that.

That said, I would still use Quick Draw with Greenskin’s Wickers for bigger on demand burst.

Numerically, the number of procs you get from Weaponmaster alongside Concealed Blunderbuss equals a lot of uptime for the bonus crit chance from BTE plus 4pc, so that’s why you’ll see that pull ahead in terms of raw damage.

Current wording on tooltip:

Half-cost uses of Pistol Shot granted by Sinister Strike now generate 1 additional combo point, and deal 50% additional damage.

Probably should read:

Half-cost uses of Pistol Shot granted by Sinister Strike now generate 1 additional combo point, and deal an additional 50% bonus damage (250% damage).

Otherwise, like I assumed, you would be guessing 50% additional damage times the 200% baseline, or 300% damage.

(You know, or just give Quick Draw the buff instead. I see no issues with that either.)

It’s about 20-25% more damage, which doesn’t make sense either way regardless of how the math being + or *. I don’t understand this game.
