Quick Consecration Fix

My thoughts on a quick change to this concecration focus. While highly unlikely… I would make it either attached spell and move with the paladin or targetable to an enemy. If paladins are filled with the light, it would be completely logical that we can emit light. We already swing with it, we can cast it, and we are filled with it. I’m fine with it working similar to consecration and moving with the player. Name it Burst (or Surge) of Radiance, Holy Rapture, or Holy Rupture and call it a day lol. I’d say burst of light but that’s taken already.

Make it heal the pally, make it dot anyone in it and have the dot stay on them for full duration of the spell ever after they move out of it, have it snare enemies within it as well.

golden path DF talent will make it heal you and 5 allies. Seal of mercy takes it further by doubling the heal on the lowest health ally (not worth taking though since it does not effect you.)

Having it move with the Paladin is a simple solution that has been suggested since the first day of getting the new talents. It is a simple fix.

Make it move with you, and give it the same visual effect as light’s hammer.

Several times before, over the past decade or so, I’ve said it should work kind of like hellfire for warlocks (without the self damage aspect). It should pulse from the paladin every second for 70-80% of the damage of the current tick, lasting for 2 seconds on the ground, which would be both a DPS, and mobility increase.

Edit: Honestly, i guess it’s not really like hellfire other than pulsing from the player. It would still be a ground effect, and still and instant cast.

Think it’d be cooler if you could cover more ground by using a Divine storm to spread a current consecration. When your divine storm travels 20yrds in a direction it consecrates all the ground it covers if you divine storm from within a consecration. Then it doesn’t get OP with talents like hallowed ground where it moves with you, and gives you some thought in where you want to spread your consecrations.

I think a simpler solution is to remove Consecration’s Cooldown. The Cooldown is already rather redundant to being with. As you can only have one active at any given time(bar those from Consecrated Blade). And it’s not as though you’d gain specific advantages in damage or healing spamming it.

I messed around with a heavy consecration build. It was extremely disappointing. I’m not sure even allowing it to move with the Paladin would fix how bad it feels to invest so many talents for so little gain.

Yea but that would require the devs to actually look at the feedback and hold to the fact they said they are listening.
Which everyone knows is total BS rofl.
