Quick Arms question

Hey all
Does Fervor of Battle completely replace Slam for single target?
I just read that on icy veins. Currently new to warriors and Arms. I was just trying to clean up my hotbar a bit and since I’m rolling with fervor right now, should I just remove Slam altogether and use WW in its place?
Thanks!

Effectively, yes. The talent moves Slam’s damage to Whirlwind, and takes slam out of the rotation altogether. Now, even though I don’t use Fervor of Battle, I wouldn’t take Slam off of your action bars altogether. Since Whirlwind does cost 10 more rage than Slam does, if you’re low on rage then it is good to still have an option to fill in your rotation and not let your DPS suffer too much.

Actually I believe this is a bad idea. Fervor of Battle has a higher DPR (Damage Per Rage) than just regular Slam. It is much more efficient and beneficial to wait until you have enough rage to use Whirlwind instead of just using Slam.

I’de rather have the 35% health execute

While I do believe it is true that you get more damage out of whirlwind with Fervor talented, I think there is merit in at least keeping it somewhere on your action bar in case you need to fill a rotation for a none rage spending ability. Colossus Smash/Warbreaker, Bladestorm/Ravager, Overpower. Hell, it could even just serve the purpose of spending rage for Anger Management. While more than likely in a standard PvP or Raid rotation you won’t be using slam as often as you once did, it still can serve a purpose.

I like doing even worse single target than I already do too.

If that purpose is doing less damage, then yes, you are correct.

Maybe he plays pvp where the 35% is WAY better.

Why? Execute does no damage.

You don’t pvp much do you? Lol

/cast [talent:3/2] Whirlwind; Slam

Here’s a macro to make it more convenient to switch back and forth between talents.

it does more than mortal strike with no cooldown and also makes you charge if you have the talent.

rend heals the enemy and fervor is using 10 extra rage you want to use on 34% execute spam or mortal strike.
