Why is this even allowed? Just did a Headless Horseman run and we wiped because an Enhancement Shaman queued as healer and wouldn’t heal. I’m sure this ha come up before. Why is this still permitted?

How? Iv been doing it as a healer and I don’t think I have cast a heal in there ever.
I do usually top the dps as holy though.

I queue as tank but stay in DPS spec for HH all the time. It’s never once been an issue. 
Are they low level?
I did not know it was possible to wipe on the Headless Horseman. I even had a level 20 and a level 45 in a group one time without a problem. Sorry your healer sucked; hope you remember their name so you can avoid them in the future.
Well, I should have recorded it. I was the highest level in there at 51 on a ret pally. Tank couldn’t hold agro and my self heals couldn’t keep up even with lay on hands. Other dps died and then tank died and I died and the “healer” just stood there.
But really, why is it even allowed? You should be in a healer spec to queue as a healer, imo.
This…actually happens. I was shocked too when I did it on my disc priest. “You can wipe on this boss?” Groups come in and are either afk or have no clue how to play and you wipe usually in the last phase

I honestly wasn’t aware that anyone took damage in there. Seemed like a pinata to me.

It swaps you into healer spec when you join. It means they swapped back to DPS.
It happens when you que as multiple roles - sometimes it wont swap you to the spec it picked you to play - happens to me all the time if i que for something as prot but im doing world content as arms.

thats a new one… usually its dead in 30 seconds and the healer is just there for free loot. 
Everybody puts every alt in there, including the ones they forgot how to play. Sometimes everybody in the dungeon is like that.
This seems to be inconsistent.
I have gotten swapped into spec a couple times queuing for heroics for bags as tank or healer. But sometimes it doesn’t do it.
It seems either random, or buggy.
Very good question, why do holiday events even require a tank and healer? Should just pair up the first 5 randos that queue, no long wait times for DPS and no faster times for DPS pretending to tank/heal
The bosses are all easily soloable by any spec, they should do the queues like the old Scenarios that ignored roles and just put any applicants together
its prob only recently become an issue due to scaling allowing anyone to enter? /maybe
Not true. I queue for holiday events as tank/heals/dps all the time and have never zoned in as anything other than DPS
Given the number of “crapestern style” freedom and rights posts in this forum, I might have a good idea why.
However I did read not only once tanks saying they can tank as other specs, and DPS claiming they do “the same DPS” using tanking spec. So not only this specific problem exist.

I’ve been doing HH with healers and had I gone and tabbed out for the whole fight the tank may have lost 10% of her health.
