Queue Time for PvP

Why am I waiting 30 minutes just now for an 11 minute queue? Fix this please.

Because the devs ironically broke the queues while trying to fix them and make them better for solo players and haven’t said one word about it in months

Because you’re playing the pvp favored faction? More horde players qing then ally players means you’re gonna wait a while longer sorry!

It’s a botched matchmaking system that prioritizes premades way too much. It can be up to a two hour wait solo, but 2-5 man parties get in instantly. This gap needs to drastically close. It’s been going on for weeks and they won’t do anything about it. They’re fully aware, as Aggrend says he reads every tweet to him and I’ve told him.

If this is how it’s going to be from here on out, the game is literally over for me. There is no more Classic. Hopefully they fix it.

Solo queues in horde seem broken. 30 mins queue solo, but less than 1 minute with any size group.

because it’s not a fortune teller. it’s a statistical prediction.

I solo qued today and it was almost instant. Not even enough time to run to officer vendor for mana potions.

PvP favored? What kind of Alliance drivel is this?

Horde racials + shamans? It’s not a knock, it’s a well known fact most players who pvp roll horde for good reason lol.

in sod. era its usually ally favored in pve and pvp.

Idk I was talking to a guy on alliance and he has his premade queues search and search and search and never gets a game. Horde fills up… gets a game instantly. Something is clearly broken with the queue system.

I highly doubt alliance is full of PvE focused players or role players.

Especially since pve focused players also mainly play horde since data show top performing pve skews horde as well.

What gives ally any advantage in pvp in era???

You talkin like full 15 man premades or 5 mans?

His claim was either 5 or Full they were never finding a queue. I haven’t tried a full because I only really know 4 other people trying to do bgs at a time but even when we do 5 and 5 seperate simultaneous queue it’s still instant , same game, and a full premade lol.

Idk there is something horrendously off with the queue system. Anyone “divining” some information from this other than, something is wrong with the queue algorithm, is reaching.

I mean most people that pvp as their main activity will gravitate towards horde because of racials. Its not to say alliance dont pvp at all it’s just horde players typically have the intention to pvp much more than ally players.

Idk man its basically just been horde with the problems the whole time. For the entire history of the game fast queues has always meant your faction has less people queueing, and slow queues meant the opposite. I could see why it may be different here with this new weird system but its safer to assume whats always been.

My queues have rarely ever been above 5 mins this phase. So that ain’t it.

I’m guessing its nobody wants to PVP since they added the 50% DR. I know I’ve stopped queuing.

So what’s the answer to, have 1 person queue 30 minutes , have 5 man queue is instant.

I feel that if this disparity was as described, we surely would not get back to back instant games. I swear from what I hear from alliance premades it’s like this

  • horde premades instant queue , usually feels like 99% of the time I’m fighting pugs winning 90-95% of my games in absolute stomps.

  • alliance premades “claim” they take forever to find a game, but idk how this could be because there is such an assumed high population of horde pvpers

  • alliance pugs have instant queues, they seem to be instant queue feeding into the horde premades from my experience

  • horde solo pugs have 30 minute queues

If things worked as claimed, if such a large population of horde existed it mathematically can’t be possible that somehow groups of 5 people taking up 5 times the space of a solo queue in a bg can queue across so many populations of 5 and all have instant queues unless the queue system is broken.

I would still expect to see some sort of queue time if the queue system was broken since the claim is alliance has so little people to fight but somehow the ever popular method of people spamming premades all are getting near instant queues? I mean grouping up wouldn’t manifest more horde slots out of nothing.

I don’t PVP as much since they did the DR thing, I Just get my quota and log. Plus now I’m almost Rank 7 so it might be time to ditch SoD.

I’ve been running 5-15 man premades and rarely have a queue go longer than a minute so idk what’s going on with that for whoever you’re talking to. To me it seems alliance queues are fast no matter what group size is queuing. Horde seem to have fast queues in groups which would make sense because if alliance are queuing as a group it would prio them against a horde 5 man and skip over horde players who are queuing solo no?

But ally players who are queueing solo will more often than not get put against horde 5 mans with no 5 man of their own because the system is trying to satisfy the much larger number of horde players queueing that BG. And then horde solo queuers just get stuck in ultra long queues because of the queue system giving premades who have been waiting too long all the solo ally players (theres not that many).

I mean we’re both speculating heavily either way but no matter what I’m fairly certain the root cause remains far more horde players queuing bgs than ally players in all group sizes. My anecdote to support this is when chain queuing bgs as an ally group of any size I frequently have many of the same teammates from the previous game. The horde players change consistently.

I have a guild of about 300 people and like 3 people PvP in battlegrounds.
