Queue dungeons with AI NPCs in 10.2

It depends on how it’s implemented, which is something we don’t know yet due to the almost complete lack of actual information at the moment.

There is a large subsection of players who simply don’t group. I know this is counterintuitive to an MMORPG, but such a feature will help those players. I’m one of them, although I sometimes do party up in LFR since it’s free loot.

i can see it for smaller dungeons, but im not seein it as a good thing for mythic+

It might end up being just for heroics. I’m surprised Blizz put this into the build without having a post ready to go. They had to know this would blow up.

I have Highmountain alts of everything (except DH and Evoker of course) and a Tauren Paladin all ready and raring to go, well my rogue is 60

I would be fine if it was just for Heroics. Something fun and trivial to just have some fun or no que time for the weekly heroic quest. Plus it would be col to see my alts play the other roles

Actually, I think that it could be something pretty awesome. I’m envisioning a solo M+ concept. Where you are removing pugging out of the equation, I would say having more limited gear than normal M+ to still keep social aspects of the game “better” because I do think that it’s better for the game to be played with friends. And for the convenience factor. Keep that M+ score separate from grouped ones and you open a whole new dimension for competition/progress. Be the best fire mage, without variance from skill of your party.

Where you either have a set template for a party per role(…maybe rotate the party grouping weekly? To keep it different?). Or built up like followers from previous expansions. Basically instead of sending them on missions you would…be doing the missions. With them.

I’d be open to entertaining the idea of it allowing alts, that play with the same bot for their role just based on stats from how you gear them while playing them. With the bot being standardized talent built if it needs to be simpler, or incorporating how you actually spec if possible.

I think that having solo runs for scores/gear/gearing up bots you play with, might be a pretty interesting mechanic and another form of endgame activity.

Edit: I do guess having a “solo” M+ score would open up a whole new world of gatekeeping potentially. Just something to consider, not sure how much worse that’d really be than what we currently have though.

Maybe this is how they are introducing solo dungeons, at least with current content. Would be nice.

Look back to Exiles Reach. Now you know what they will be used for.

People have got to stop treating data mining like gospel.

guild wars 1 did this about 15 years ago and it was great as you could turn your alts into permanent party members, and had full control over their builds and gear and chose what they would prioritize.

ff11 did this a decade ago, usable throughout the entire game and makes the whole game very playable.

ff14 did this about 4 years ago, and it’s pretty bad as the npcs will stop or slow damage to ensure developer-set time goals are achieved.

About 2-3 years before that, ff14 implemented an entire side game where you geared and leveled and trained your own army you could take to dungeons; but this made the game easier so they canned it.

Expect the new ff14 to be the inspiration.

players already aren’t interacting in dungeons and this would be amazing for healer/dps so i don’t see the problem and if it let people do a mythic 0 so they could get there first keystone and get a idea of what mythic+ is like in a non toxic environment that would be a plus

Yea cool story

honestly I can’t stand doing dungeons with people now. Gogogo no matter how bad their gear or item level is. Heck I am skipping healing mythic plus this week ghost plus explosive no thanks. Asking too much I’m done with dragon flight expansion as a whole anyways. World of Elitistcraft

If it’s anything like the ones in XIV, not worth using. Any time saved from the instant queue gets negated by how painfully slow the bots are. Guess it would be nice for the people who whine about tanks pulling too fast.

That’s because the bots there are looking to get the dungeon done at a developer-set time minimum; not aware of a maximum time.

Wow, one of my ideas actually became a reality. I mean it works for exiles reach.

Some people just want to story mode, a raid or a dungeon, not necessarily run it for gear. I mean sure there could be a lower loot table reward.

And frankly, in all the LFRs I’ve been in, I would say a good 50% of them involve a lot of players being AFK or just completely mind numbingly counterproductive. Even an AI just spamming frost bolt will do more good.

This was a long time ago, but there was this really old PC game called summoner.

You could assign the range class the melee class and the healer class to do things while you did your thing. Oof… 23 years ago.
