Leveling through dungeons. What quest chains are important not to skip? I know about sons of hodir and plan on doing that around level 79. Anything else?
Any of the wrathgate quests. Should be able to track them if you use attune.
Then Icecrown progression for AC/Ebon Blade quartermasters.

The Wrathgate. Just be warned the Battle for the Undercity is bugged and you will need a taunt or some other way to pull a mob off Varian so that he and Thrall can RP or you won’t be able to complete it
Whats the wrathgate for?
It’s a questline in Dragonblight that covers a little bit of Naxxramas and the initial push into Icecrown, as well as touches a tiny bit on the dragons, leads to the first full ingame cinematic, and culminates in a large instanced attack on the Undercity reminiscent of the Death Knight intro in Light’s Hope Chapel
Does it unlock content or rep?
So there are a few quests.
Quests you only need to do once:
Sons of Hodir, the enchants at exalted are Bind on Account you only need to do this on one character. Same with reps for their enchantments to revered.
Quests for every (or most) character:
- Icecrown progression is really needed here for the Argent Crusade and Ebon Blade quartermasters if your character has Pre-Raid BiS items off of them AND/Or it’s your 1st character and you need to get revered for enchants for alts as well as recipies.
- Wrathgate (when fixed) the entire chain gives good exp and items and an achievement really something you should do because its worth doing leveling up.
- Not necessary unless you have pre-raid bis items from the vendor, but the Oracles/Frenzyheart tribes in Sholzar have a fair amount of collectable items from the duration egg/jar and unlock dalies for them.
- Dungeon quests, good/stupid amounts of exp and rewards and reputation if rep is tied to it.
- Any quest chains that give badges, because free badges.
Don’t skip tuskar quests, do absolutely every single hecking one of them. Fishing pole!
You should also try and do the dragon blight quests that have to do with the actual Dragon flights, as I’m pretty sure they unlock some of the stuff you need for 3.3 content (I don’t know what phase that’s supposed to be, I just know what patch it was back in the day).
To be honest at 80 go back and do those quests do them all because after all they are giving a huge amount of potion rewards right now, and utterly decimating the poor Alchemists, it’s true…
