The obvious conclusion to me is that the developers decided to leave the “all mogs” feature out of the actual 11.x deployment. Maybe something was bugged and they didn’t have time to fix it so they took it out for later.
They delivered a lot less than promised in a lot of areas, but they never really promised when all these changes would go live.
really crossing my fingers they do fix it and make the appearances all retroactive. i’m happy to do loremaster…once. i reeeeeeally dont want to have to do it 8 times.

from what I can gather from other threads, the feature was working on the PTR, but the version of the game the patch launched with is not the same version the PTR was.
It’s also possible the feature is being delayed/staggered. When the collections tab was added in the Legion prepatch at the end of WOD there was definitely issues with hundreds of appearances all unlocked on once on every toon you logged on to the first time you logged onto them, they could be wanting to avoid that situation again.
That said, id rather deal with that now than having to deal with in on the 22nd/26th.
I really want this to be fixed, because I do not want to repeat Loremaster again, and again and again for each of the 4 armor types and both Horde and Alliance, as there are definitely rewards unique to both factions that I have come across via the addon better wardrobe. Feralas has an alliance only quest that gives a glove? appearance and there is shoulder appearance that in Aldor faction only.

It was also removed from the PTR btw. It’s not that not in sync the feature now does not exist at all on any version we have access to.
Doing the quest SHOULD unlock all appearances available to your WARBAND. Imagine this. You get to the quest you’ve already done three other times on a plate, cloth, and leather class…you still need to do it on a mail class to unlock the mail appearance, but THEN the text at the bottom of the quest window laughs at you in “Your Warband has already completed this quest.”
Please fix this blizzard!
