Quests giving way to much gold?

I’m not in the classic beta… but from watching streams ive noticed people turning in quests getting over 2 gold per quest at level 30. there is no way that is accurate. based on the few quests i checked on old vanilla wiki they are giving like 400% more gold in some cases

Edit: i guess i should give an example. The frostmaw quest was giving like 2g 55s upon completion.

I think it’s because the game is registering 30 as max level and at max level you get more gold for quests

Yeah, its giving gold because XP is capped.

I thought they added the feature for increased gold at max level instead of experience much later. I thought they changed that in WotLK. Anyone have the patch notes on this?

Quest Experience for Gold at Level 60

Previously, quest experience was wasted if one completed a quest at level 60. In this patch, any quests done at maximum level will have their experience reward converted to a healthy amount of gold, thus adding additional incentive to completing those quests in your log once you hit 60.
