1.the hordes zones are driving me nuts. i absolutely despise them with the exception of possibly zuldular. (don’t even get me started on nazmir and how horrible it is without flight.) is there anyway i can quest in alliance areas seeing as i saw horde camps in those zones on my alliance toons? how do i do that?
2. how do i start the quests for nazjatar? (i know its almost before shadowlands don’t care don’t plan on getting it.)
3. is there any way to do group quests on my dead realm without a group. i dont want to have to bug my friends list a bunch of times just to do group quests on all my alts.
4.what are these chests used for?
5. what are the two islands at the very south of zuludar for?
6.how do i unlock kul tirans and nightborne? they are only 2 sub races i want.
7. is warmode REQUIRED for anything? cause i don’t care for pvp.
The War Campaign in BfA will send you to the Alliance zones, but it doesn’t take the place of leveling up in Zuldazar. Head down to the docks in Dazar’alor to get started on that.
You’ll need to get to level 50 and be friendly with all three Horde factions in Zuldazar: Voldunai, Zandalari Empire, and Talanji’s Expedition.
You will eventually get quests to go to both islands.
Kul Tiran is probably the easier one to get.
Not really, no. There might be some PVP achievements that require it, but if you don’t care to PVP then just leave it off & forget about it.
Depends upon how you define “Required”. PvP can reduce your crafting costs, by reducing the amount of materials required.
Edited Note: Which for the record, I think is dumb as heck.
does the war campaign flag you for pvp? i really don’t like horde’s leveling zones.
No, it does not.

Outside of the quests to establish the footholds, all of the stuff on the other faction’s continent will be level 50. Again, outside of the footholds, all of the other War Campaign quests require unlocking world quests, which happens at level 50. If you really don’t want to level up in BfA zones, use Chromie time to level up using another expansion. (Chromie is near the Embassy in Orgrimmar, look for the hour glass on the map.) Keep in mind that BfA end game stuff is locked behind unlocking world quests, so if you haven’t unlocked them on another character, you will have to do some of each of the BfA zones for that.
-
You need to unlock world quests. Then you can get the quest to start Naz’jtar. (So, not until level 50.)
-
I managed to solo most of the “Wanted” group quests in BfA, so you can try that. You can also try asking in general. As the zones are CRZed, anyone in the zone will see the message.

Chests are just a side thing to collect. They do give a bit of XP, and there is a Tortollan quest to collect scrolls from them. (The quest starts from an item that’s a random drop from chests, and then the other items you need can drop from chests.)

There are a couple of quests as part of the Zuldazar quest chain that hit upon those islands. The Alliance War Campain also uses one of them as I recall. Beyond that, nothing special.
so is there anything that doesn’t require doing world quests at end game?
BfA endgame will require unlocking world quests, mostly because they gate getting the cloak. If all you want to do is dungeon and raid, you could probably skip doing world quests. (Although the Emissaries can have useful rewards when you first gear up.) Also, keep in mind that you only have to do the “hard” unlock on one character. After that, any of your other characters will just get a version of the unlock quest they can turn right back in once they hit level 50 and have their neck.
also when did they get rid of lifetap for warlocks?..i just can’t get over this. when did they make aspects for hunters a temporary buff? this is absurd. when did commanding shout become this 10 second buff instead of a 3minute one like in legion? what happened to deterance for hunters? why do warlocks have to choose between shadow bolt and drain soul…drain soul has been an iconic execute since mop i think. (or maybe wrath im not sure). when did drain life use up a % of your mp instead of a flat mana amount? why is my voidwalker now so squishy? why doesn’t the portal guy in orgrimaar work for porting me to shattrath?
Class talents & abilities change with every expansion. Things come, things go; sometimes they come back again, sometimes not.
If you genuinely want to know when particular spells got removed or modified, you’ll have to go through the patch notes for the pre-patch for each expansion. Personally I don’t bother keeping track; I’m already forgetting what we lost two weeks ago.
Be like Edna Mode: “I never look back, darling, it distracts from the now.”
another question what can my warlock expect to solo in this gear? how much stronger will i get getting gear through questing since i wont be getting shadowlands for a multitude of reasons. what is the easiest class to solo with?
If you spend some time going through the end game quest content (as well as leveling up the cloak in the visions) you will see a significant increase in your power. My characters ended up at around ilvl 100 without doing group content. If you aren’t planning on getting Shadowlands, then I’d say its definitely worth unlocking and leveling up the cloak as well as collecting Azerite gear to increase your power.
While the catch up gear that comes with the event is ilvl 100, it won’t include Azerite gear, and the legendary cloak will also be better than the catch up gear. Although, as close as the pre-patch event is, it might make sense to pick up some of the catch up gear first to make getting through the Naz’jatar and 8.3 quests significantly easier.
Lock blueberry or even Felguard (Demo) make soloing better than most classes. Hunters have always been great. DH feels like it was designed for soloing (high mobility and leech), except lacking a tank pet.
Overall you’re in a decent position as a lock if you’re going to stay at 50 and probably not do a lot of group content. That will mean grinding a lot of Visions though to up your gear, and probably some form of group M+ or Raid content for Essences and Azerite gear.
