Questions on building Enhance

I’ve kind of had my own idea for a Enhance build as a Nature/Elemental Damage build, and I have a few questions for general play (leveling, questing, pvp, etc):

  1. Lightning Shield or Boulderfist?

The former looks better because it naturally does minor nature damage and does additional nature damage when you’re under the discharge effect. Boulderfist, however, seems a bit more predictable and is pure Nature Damage, so it’s affected by our Mastery and enchants like Elemental Torrent.

While I lose out on getting additional Nature damage on Storm Strike (though I don’t think it scales off of Storm Strike), I get something a bit more sustainable as well as a quick Maelstrom generator outside of regular attacks.

  1. Landslide over Forceful Winds?

Forceful winds looks fantastic, but it doesn’t really gel with Boulderfist as well as Landslide does. It looks more geared towards Storm Strike spamming with a priority in Haste over Mastery.

With Landslide, since I’m spamming Boulderfist more often, the half of the limited StormStrikes I have would hit twice as hard without sucking up a GCD for nature spells.

  1. Earthen Spike or Elemental Spirits.

I really like the ‘Colossus Smash’ feel of Earthen Spike, even though Elemental Spirits might benefit more from our Mastery. Earthen Spike is a bit easier to line up with something like Lightning Shield, or as a simple Lava Lash spam window sort of like how Overpower is.

There’s so many possibilities in this class…

i would advise anyone not to play enhancement the spec is bad rotation wise and you cant survive it has zero defense.enhancement shamans need a rework or revert.

because the spec is so bad you will get asked if you are ele and denied m+ groups its the stigma that will always follow enhance until it gets a rework.

i would suggest any other melee class is better then enhancement shamans.

Plenty of guides around for enhancement, depending on your gear level I’d go to raidbots and do a talent sim where you can put several different talent combinations and itll tell you the highest damage. These will be very similar so I’d suggest play what spec you want to play.

The above post is correct too. You will get declined heaps If you want to pug.

Lightning shield and forceful wind will be what you will use all the time. Primal primer and Strengh of the earth build ain’t that much worth anymore.

You use elemental spirits for any aoe stuff like m+ or some niche stuff, in general you go ascendance.
