Questions about level boosting

Hi, was hoping someone here would be kind enough to answer some questions about level boosting a new character.

  1. Is there any benefit in leveling the character to 60 first? I recall it used to raise your professions to cap, but I heard that was recently revoked.
  2. If I purchase a level boost, does it matter how long I save it before I use it?
  3. Do I miss out on any old content by level boosting? Can I go back after doing so, for instance, and run through the previous expansions and vanilla questlines?

If you’re boosting, I’ve been told to boost a Trial character so you can at least get the benefit of a maxed out Garrison.

Boosting from Level 1 gives you no Garrison.
