The title sums up most of it, i’m about to quest to 60 most areas are 30-60 or 20-60. Do i need to start BC once i hit 60 if I want to quest? Also around this level which dungeons and raids do you recommend? I think at lvl 60 i can train and obtain flying mounts, which flying mount to you recommend i get first (I currently have 350g) ? I heard the bronze drake is pretty easy.
The EXP given for killing mobs and completing quests in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor are severely reduced once you hit level 60. At level 60, you can choose to start in Outland or in Northrend, as both are level attuned to levels 60-80.
For a flying mount, the easiest to get is to buy a wyvern from the mount vendor next to the flying trainer in orgrimmar (or a gryphon from the mount vendor next to the flying trainer in stormwind if you are playing alliance).
I believe you can’t earn any XP at all once you hit 60 from those zones with a max 60 level cap.

You still get XP, it’s just dramatically reduced. (It also reduces in a curve, so at 69 it’s nerfed a lot harder than 61.) Because the stat squish leveled out gear stats, you won’t kill stuff any faster until you get the over level bonus that starts at 69 for classic content. So, your efficiency drops dramatically as soon as you hit 61, even though you do still get partial XP.
With only a couple of exceptions, the only difference between flying mounts is what they look like. They all work the same way. So, as Ghullum stated, starting off with the cheap starter mount from the vendor near the flight trainer is the best bet.
As for those exceptions, there are a couple of mounts that allow you to carry a passenger, and the Sky Golem mount that lets you collect herbs while mounted. These are generally quite expensive (or from the refer-a-friend rewards) so not something you need to worry about for your first mount.
Thank you for your help
My level 61 got 924 XP killing a level 61 mob in N. Barrens. Wore full heirlooms except the rings.
If you want to stay at 60 you can shut your xp gain off in the main capital - just search for “wow shut xp off” for how. This will let you keep running 1-60 dungeons/raids without outleveling them.
Its really hard to find groups for level 60 raids - really all of them not at 110 & 120. Most people go back and solo them at higher levels. You can find them, but it will take some time.
You can enter BC/Wrath content at 58 actually.
You can buy basic flying mounts in sw/org. You’ll find some on the auction house as well. That’s the easiest way to get up and flying. You’ll get others as you go along.
