Questions about elemental rotation

So, i made an elemental off spec so i could swap up playstles every once in awhile. Playing ranged feels nice sometimes.

That being said, im having more problems that i care to admit understanding what I do from a moment to moment basis. Sometimes my damage is fantastic on single target and aoe. Sometimes its doo doo. And not by a small number. Ive seen ST be as high as 1.1 mil and then 400k in other simlar fights. My AOE ive seen around 5 mil and other times is closer to 600k.

Im using stormbringer, im using EOGS, and LMT. I know im supposed to alternate between EB and EQ for EOGS, use Ice fury for the EB procs, and LB when it procs paired with LMT and PW if I can. But are there ever times in ST where you want to only use EB instead of alternating EQ? And times where you just want to spam EQ? Just trying to figure out how to fix the weird flux in damage.

with EoGS you don’t want to just spam eq

also, in ST you don’t want to use EoGS/EQ unless the target is immobile. generally speaking. while EoGS is a st dps increase, if you miss like a single eq tick, it’s a loss.

Lookup the “smooth brain build” in the ele discord pins, you will have much more consistent results using that and be able to focus on other things much easier in the dungeon without losing damage to mistakes/misplays. Check it out!

Makes me wonder if I am using a smooth brain build …
