So what happened to that Onyx War Hyena? It was in the mount journal, saying it would drop from RBG’s or rated arena wins and such, and then it was removed without a word.

Did it ever even drop in the first place?
It was a Season Mount, from my understanding it was left in the journal as still droppable.
EDIT: Still waking up, i read something on WoWhead wrong, haha.
It was never a season mount. It was supposed to drop from wins but I’ve never seen it.

The season 1 season mounts were the hippo and clefthoof, not the hyena.

That’s what WoWhead is hinting at, i’m still looking for more information; sadly i can’t link stuff yet. 
EDIT; the info on WoWhead is pretty interesting; someone states on there that they spoke with a GM about it back in 2018, and the GM didn’t even know how the mount was obtained. x__x

EDIT2, found a video with the mount included in it, i’m still watching to get to the Hyena mount.
Yeah, that video didn’t give any meaningful information about it; he just states: “Might be a freebie that you get for your 1st win in rated Arena or Battlegrounds.”
EDIT3. People on WoWhead are hinting it may have been a future PvP Season mount, and was placed in the journal before actually being in-game; i’m looking for the 10th Feburary 2020 patchnotes.
Okey i guess that’s as clear of a picture of what happened with that as it’s going to be, the patchnotes just say: Fixed an issue that caused the Onyx War Hyena to appear in the Mounts tab of the Collection journal.
Which suggests it’s a mount that isn’t available yet and someone goofed. D:
