Question to solo players: " What activities do you do in this game? "

This is a honest question, hope it doesn’t come off rude but I personally cant have fun in this game by myself.
So I need to ask, what do you guys do for fun as a solo player? How often do you play per day?

Thanks to cthuwu for the advice. my question was oddly put which may mislead people.

Because I don’t like strangers.

the content already out that isn’t group content amuses me enough plus there’s achievements & things I don’t have that I can try & obtain myself. My only issue is I’m hoping PvP gets better in Shadowlands. Want to start pvping again so I can sacrifice my dislike for others for more pvp goodies.

Also every time I joined a guild of randoms there’s always one person who has to bring their personal issues that I don’t care about in game which is a huge turn off for me when it comes to joining a guild.

My time played depends on different things. Because of brewfest I’m logging in daily cause I don’t have the Ram. Otherwise normal doing stuff it’s 1 day a week cause I cannot stand the systems in BfA.

I run old raids, quest, everything you can do WITH people…but alone. I just prefer it that way.

If you approach the game the same way you’d approach witcher, or any other single player game, playing by yourself really can be fun. Be out in the world exploring the lore and quests.

Everyone comes to this game for different reasons; some of us like to escape our busy lives and play a game where we don’t need to care about, or cater to, what other people want. We can be free to just do what ever we like here (within the TOS).

Right Farm old raids and websurf on my second monitor.
During a normal season level alts, quest , do dailies and farm old raids for mounts and transmog gear.

thank you for the response. I dont know why but i personally cant see myself playing this game without friends/guildies.
i find that dependency kinda sad. so i made this thread to find solo activities.

Definitely not goldshire inn. Not that place at all, nope.

Well I don’t solo, but yes I don’t have time for organized guilds. I mostly do old world content, some dailies for rep, and pugs for dungeons/pvp/etc etc. I find I never run out of stuff to do.

Solo player…as in not joining any pugs? Or just doing things on your own?

I am in an active community right now, but was playing mostly solo for the last few years. Believe it or not, I like pugging. Meet new people, learn new things. I also like problem solving, so it works for me.

That said, always adding people to my friends list—plus some old RL and in game friends that come back from time to time. So if you’re a sociable person, when you’re alone, you’re still not going to end up playing alone.

Quest, World Quests, level alts, run old dungeons and raids, and heck even current dungeons. When I do this alone, I can poke my head into nooks and crannies that I can’t don’t within a group. (Hey! You can look out the windows in Black Rook Hold and see everything!)

I helped 1 friend complete profession quests in a couple dungeons. In one of them there were profession specific “things” that popped mobs that dropped…nothing special, but we popped everyone we could anyway!

I end up creating goals for myself. Every alt needs to be at x gear level. Every alt needs…My main needs to gather x for this mount. This toon can collect y for that mount.

Whatever pops into my head. If I’m having fun, I keep doing it.

Ignoring the group content I do which is really only a couple days out of the week, especially in the middle of a patch, I tend to get on once in a while and run old content for transmog hunting, especially at this point in an expansion. I might level an alt. Most of this is just to kill time because I need to turn the brain off. It’s also a good excuse to listen to music while being “busy.” At the beginning of an expansion or content patch, there’s usually plenty to do like leveling professions, leveling the character, LFG, rep grinds, etc.

it depends on your kink dont you think? also i suggest against doing it every day.

oh you mean in wow… i farm gold or rep, level an alt maybe, 2-3 hours and not every day.

People are missing the point because you ask one question in the title then ask two completely different questions in the body of the post.

Rep grind, achievement hunting, and collecting appearances.

1-2 hours per day.

i dont know what you mean. those two questions in the body and in the tittle are essentially the same…

I mean, I see it completely differently and others might too. Just trying to help, sorry.

I grab a magazine and head into the bathroom and then, oh wait, you mean in Warcraft?

Oh, well I look at reputation page, and list of mounts and pets and then spend a few hours trying to increase those numbers to decrease the crippling depression I will suffer from the next time I view those numbers. I guess that counts as fun.
