Question regarding Legacy loot

So, 2 days ago, after Legacy loot for Legion content was announced, I submitted a ticket to Customer Support witht a question about it. They gave me an uncertain answer, and when I asked if they could confirm it with someone higher up, they told me to post it on the forums instead. So here I am.

With Legacy loot coming to Antorus, the Burning Throne, the last raid of Legion, a question came to my mind. There are two “weapons” that drop from the last 2 bosses of the raid, both entirely cosmetic only, as there weren’t actual weapon drops in Legion. Even when Master Loot was stilll a thing, these weapons were forced personal loot. They would only ever drop for classes that could wield (annd thus transmog) them. Of course, makes sense, but it means there was no way for other classes to get them.

In comes Demonology warlocks. Warlocks can’t wield Strength Two-handed weapons, clearly, but we have a glyph that allows one our minions, the Felguard, to wield a random two-handed weapon from our bags. However, since these weapons couldn’t drop for us, we had no way to make our minion wield them.

My question to Customer support that went unanswered was, will Legacy Loot allow these two weapons, Taeschalach and the Scythe of the Unmmaker, to drop for classes that can’t wield them? And, if not, could this please be changed, so that it is actually possible to get the items we’re grinding for? I’d really hate to kill Aggramar/Argus 20 times over only to find out these weapons can’t even drop for me.

This is better off in dungeon and raids or you can tweet the developers this is primarily a player to player support forum the reason why a GM told you to go to the forums this would be considered a game hint.

It seems like a strange question to send to the forums. Unless a player already got one of the items in question on a Warlock, I’m not sure how we could possible answer.

Legacy Loot will work just like it does if you’d run WoD raids.
In fact, I remember that’s where I had BRF 2H Mace drop for my warlock pet.

As for Taeschalach and the Scythe of the Unmaker, I’m honestly not sure.

Maiden’s mace, as well as the Antorus weapons, dropped independently of the loot system. I would assume it’d continue to drop independently of the loot system.
