Question on unlocking Allied Races in prepatch

Ok so after reviewing the patch notes, I’m still a bit confused. I understand that reputation is no longer a factor in unlocking allied races, but do i still need to complete all of the chapters regarding the story quests? for example i want to make a Nightborne as soon as the patch drops, so will i need to complete all 11 chapters of Suramar to complete the Good Suramaritan achievement? just wondering if i should continue to finish the quests. that way i can create my Nightborne right when the patch goes live.

You still need to do the quest lines, the only portion removed is the rep requirement.

Yes, finish the questlines. You just won’t have to grind the reputation.

You have to attain the achievement(s) listed. For some (like Nightborne) that’ll be a pretty long process.

Zandalari will require you to do all of BfA (or at least the base 8.0 chapters) I think, which is kinda crummy if you haven’t already done it, but will probably feel very cool for new players - hitting 50 and then getting a new race!

Well. Check the embassy for the achievement required.

You don’t have to do the entire Good Samaritan chapters. I just unlocked Nighrltborne like last week. It requires more than half of it but, the insurrection story starts before you complete GS.

Btw. My character reach Exalted way before I got close to finishing. If you complete the quest unlock, you won’t have to wait for the prepatch to release to start a nightborne.

awesome guys!! I really appreciate the help!

This plus the fact that Legion rep boosts are 100% bonus you can unlock them pretty easily now (you’ll be exalted with the boost).

I’ve just done the full storyline and already have got two paragon caches from Nightfallen.
