Question: mounts with faction change?

If i buy the gryphons on alliance (available at exalted with some BfA factions), and then if I later decide to purchase a faction change, do the mounts change to the appropriate horde side versions? Or do the mounts just stay alliance only?

They stay alliance only.

Tauren on horses? Woah man we reached a new era.

thanks for reply! I didn’t mean that the mounts come to horde side as is, I meant do they convert to whatever horde-relevant faction sells the horde-version of mounts.

But thank you sir

Edit: Nvm I misread something in OP.

Some do, like the mounts specific to playable races.

If it’s a mount tied to a rep that doesn’t exist on the opposing faction, I do not believe they switch over. So if you bought a griffon for the Proudmoore faction, there’s no Horde equivalent. The closest would be Zandalari and that grind starts at Friendly.

good to know! thank you!

I did the two times I faction changed. I have all the Horde-starter race mounts without being exalted with all of them. Only thing I had to redo when I switched my mage was the Argent Tournament unlock.

some mounts are universal like travelers mammoth or giant spider but when you faction change factions mounts like gnome mechstrider change based on what enemy race choose like if you roll a tauren then youll automatically have all of their kodos etc

Misread OP.
