Question, Is wow too expensive?

Are you serious? lol
15$ a month is not even the cost of a meal.

That’s a good thing, because running content with inexperienced boosted players is annoying.

To get in it isn’t costly.

To do well it is costly in hours.

Yea, except that the content is so overtuned now that people like me who carry all the 90% of players who fail to KSM for the past several seasons, can’t do it anymore.

This expansion is so overtuned, I think Blizzard devs are the boosters and they must have some ez button they press to be able to carry some newb/whale/moron through a +20 and time it successfully…

I cant carry people anymore as a healer, and that really sucks, because I cant dedicate my life to some scheduled group to succeed after banging my head against the wall, or paying money to play with players I’m usually a better player than.

They took the power away from the healers which is understandable if this was a regulated sporting league for professional athletes… but in reality it’s not. Not at all.

Now everyone has to git gud and that made sense for upper echelons like mythic raiding or top .1% gladiator rankings, or the guys doing ridiculous ā€œcheese the gameā€ kiting and abusing terrain or other glitch level mythic plus nolife tryharding to get the highest raiderio rankings for their class/spec/server/global

It just means a lot less people will be able to enjoy playing without a) magically becoming a better gamer after all these years or b) spend money for boosts.

Unfortunately they will most likely choose option c) find a different game, which means the next expansion will be even less content and WoW will continue to devolve into milking it’s loyal player base for money to keep itself profitable enough to be sold off by the investors, because everyone knows if that happens they will all be out of a job, as is the case with most sell offs in the gaming industry.

It’s maintenance mode after that.

No. He wasnt

For the state it’s In and it’s been in I would say the price is high yes

Still cheaper than my meals for the day.

Life hack: sell body fluids once a month and you break even

Like you need all your plasma.

If you’re afraid of needles sell somebody else’s

If you break down the value of a wow subscription in a $/h or whatever cost/benefit metric you want to use, its miles and miles ahead of any other hobby, activity or recreational pass time I am engaged in.

In fact, for me the only detriment is competition for my time vs working and researching investments… potentially exercise too which has some value by allowing higher productivity/utilisation for income generation.

Heck, I would like to see a two tier approach to wow subs… a $50 per month premium sub (increased xp/rep and double drops from M+/raids) vs the normal $20/wowtoken sub (no change).

But I recently became a millionaire, so time is way way way more important than $$ these days.

You can’t sell blood plasma in my country and I already donate blood/plasma periodically anyway.

I don’t think it’s expensive but I do wish we could make more gold naturally in the game. I feel like potions and enchants… stuff like that costs a lot.

Fine then break into someone’s house and sell their stuff these are solvable problems

Not really, compared to other entertainment options WoW is relatively cheaper.

Having Cash shop not spammed at you is totally worth the sub.

If you cant afford wow you need to get more shifts at Wendys or ponder past life choices or both.

ROFL!!! Inflation look into it… the more money everyone has, the more things cost. The only way out of that cycle is to funnel gold out of the economy by vendor acquisition (like repair costs, buying mounts, BMAH, wowtokens etc).

My wow has been free since WOD. The last thing I bought with actual money was Legion before tokens could be converted to bnet balance.

its cheap i never seen one time someone come here and say i unsubbed cause wow costs to much. the question is how valuable is your irl time cause most people said f wow takes to much time like most mmo’s .

Also, illegal in my country… its a nanny state. They don’t let you have any fun here.

I am so sorry. Pack it in and give up your hobby.

My main problem is that I dont have enough gold to keep using it for my sub, so I have to go back onto the card. And I havent been able to take advantage of the new expansion to make more really, at least not that much.

But, on the other hand, its what, about $5 a week? Even I can manage that at the moment. I’d prefer to use my gold but I’ll just have to keep chipping away at making some as I can get onto the game.
