Question: Is the quest to remove N'zoth gift really optional?

My question comes at the fact that it uses yellow exclamation so I feel like I need to complete it…usually when its optional or repeatable its just blue, right?

I knows this maybe more of an OCD on my part than anything else… but it feels like the story just pushes you to complete it… and other than seeing others with it it bring nothing interesting to my Character… I really though it would bring whispers or talk moments as you do quest, boss encounters, etc like Xal’atath or Thal’kiel. However to my disappointment its just a headpiece…blinking… :eye:

I know that I should probably wait for the Raid and other content to come out before removing it but I just wanted to come here and see if others have more insight on this?

Thank you again for taking the time for read/reply and also great work Blizz, Im loving this part of the story sooooo much!!! :star_struck:

I am actually very curious about this myself, I could have sworn Alliance was supposed to have the option to keep it.

You do have the option to keep it. Just because there’s a quest to remove it doesn’t mean you have to do so. I can’t count the number of folks who kept the rod that turned you into a moonkin in Ashenvale, back when, just by not finishing the quest.

Blue exclamation marks just indicate some level of repeatability. Optional-ness is entirely up to you.

It’s the completionist problem. Also, Horde gets to turn in the quest and choose to keep or to lose the Gift. We don’t seem to get the dialogue option.

Oh really? I haven’t done it in my main Horde. Maybe its a bug in the quest I should create bug report on it… :open_mouth:
Wait…it could be that the Horde are the only ones who can chose to keep it story wise?

Hmmm I should try to ask a GM about it or maybe a community manager can tell us if they see this? :no_mouth:

was honestly hoping a blue would respond to this, so until we get an answer (and quite possibly even after) I will not be turning that quest in.

Yeah me too. I wont turn it in until I know for sure!

Um, maybe?

There is only one way to find out… :man_shrugging:t2:
