Dont care. Just stay alive while holding aggro.
DKs are either full on gods or useless. No in between.
Keep in mind that even good DKs will need help at the start of pulls. They need to set up first.
and their runic power gauge thats it
only thing a healer need to see on BDK under 45 and low hp throw a big heal
BDK is cool because its heal is an attack…so right on the rotation.
BMM, is just cool, lol. The brews are such a great RP way to do the spec. Always felt really squishy to me, though. Been a while, maybe thats changed.
As a healer, I hate healing DKs. Not because they’re bad–they aren’t–but they give me anxiety because of the way their health bar moves.
Well, i dont heal BDKs.
Lol. Doesnt really matter.
…even when down in leveling dungeons, lol.
Four fearing mobs are not ‘face roll’ regardless of how good the tank THINKS he is, lmao
Indeed. That last pull on VP is such a scary one for you BDK’s if you don’t have any runic power to start it.
I honestly don’t care what class is tanking. What matters is if they know how to manage threat on trash pulls, know how to avoid bad things, know how to position the boss, and be respectful of the healer’s capabilities.
its both funny and frustration for new healers to heal BDK after we tell them its how we function we take a big hits get it back with death strike. dont freak out on the yo yo hp.
Our Main Tank is my 21yr old kid… who’ s a freakin MONSTER Monk tank!
Love healing him… but I have been told repeatedly that he’s not like other Monk tanks.
I don’t know… he’s incredibly easy to heal. He often has legendary healing parses in our raids on boss fights… so I guess he does in fact know what he’s doing.
Blood dk all the way. They don’t require anything except an external from the healer here and there, mainly on pull.
Some inexperienced healers will feel stressed with a blood dk trying to heal them, whereas more experienced healers know you get to spend far more time just dpsing since the dk takes care of himself.
Not to mention in pug situations, blood dk has a tool for nearly everything and can carry a run
As a healer main, I like to heal all sorts of tanks. There are some general trends of each but, if the tank is good, I usually can’t tell much difference in healing. I main holy priest so whack o mole healing is a thing and I don’t always notice healing a tank more unless it is A LOT more than normal. Like panic more.
Play what suits you.
Please don’t make me heal BDK. The health bounces confuse and frighten me.
Either one, if we’re talking about equally, moderately-skilled players who understand their spec.
It depends on the player, but I strongly prefer Brew over BDK no matter what healer I’m on. Though Resto Druid does pair nicely with Brew, I promise it’s not bias.
Dk definitely requires less attention and has great tools (brez, grips, magic immune) but in some patches their dps can be a bit low. I hear it will be higher in this patch though.
I also hear a lot of “they’re fine until they’re not” as in they’re immortal until the dmg intake approaches one shot territory. They take a lot of damage and can usually self heal it, but I’m assuming at the dangerously high key levels they risk just flopping over before they can heal it.
Brew definitely requires some attention at all times. You don’t have to necessarily pump them full time but they’re always taking damage. The upside is they have a passive that gives you a chance equal to their crit (generally 35-50%) for your heal to do 80% more healing. Generally though it’s pretty much impossible to one shot them. They’ll take hard hits but you should always have enough time to heal them before they go splat (stagger can only reduce you to 1hp, it can’t kill you)
Brew also has a way more active rotation which I enjoy as a dps main. Blood dk can get a bit spammy and boring.
Both are great imo and you shouldn’t have any real downsides until well into your 20+ keys. Just different play styles
