I think the issue is twofold:
So it’s not that the newer generations are appreciably dumber. There’s just more of them and they’re more exposed than the older ones were.
While technology has made things better, I do agree, it definitely has brought out the degeneracy of many folks. I know each person’s experiences will vary but I can say, long ago, we did not need signs in my office that said “do not lick this wall”.

Fun fact, mental handicaps in Medieval Europe, or even just faking a mental condition, could make one VERY rich, as King’s Fools (what modern pop culture calls a COurt Jester) made INSANE money for the time. Well that’s one of them. Even the “unofficial” one has the same problem. People who say it doesn’t happen have either not seen it, are just regurgitating what they’ve read others say, or are one of them trying to get people to think it doesn’t happen.
Are you only looking at modern history. Because there were times in human history where people were cruel, violent and there were much worse crimes against human nature than today.
Who cares about discords. Blizzard can’t do anything about them and there are no “official” ones. What is the point of arguing about something Blizzard has no ability to control?
The topic is about the forums and the fact is that flagging doesn’t do anything aside from hiding the post that players can still click and read. It only gets removed for breaking ToS or through connected pruning.

Anything that offends their personal sensibilities, is opposite of their opinion, they hop on discord and mobilize. it’s quite cringe. It’s ALWAYS the same crowd.

What’s even worse is, this same group is against any form of PVE accessibility.
Doesn’t matter the topic. They live on the forums. Anything posted here personally hurts them if it goes against the grain, hence the auto-flagging, spamming, derailing.
